Boy Scouts of America Information
The Boy Scouts of America was founded by Lord Baden Powell, with the first summer camp held in 1907 on Brownsea Island with 20 scouts. After that first summer camp experience, they decided that it was a success. That led to the expansion of Boy Scouts. Today, there are millions of scouts worldwide who follow the example of Lord Baden Powell. The Boy Scouts of America organization is based on the Scout Oath and Law. The Scout Slogan and Motto summarize the ideals found within the Scout Oath and Law. Each scout is expected to abide and live by these statements.
