4X800 Team Sets New School Record
This past Thursday at the Jeffersonville Invitational the school's 4x800 team established a new school record with a time of 8:07.65. The team was led off by sophomore Ethan Short who finished with a 2:05 and just behind Daviess County. Senior Ben Felz, running the second leg in 2:01, overtook the lead during his personal best performance and provided a clean exchange with Junior Kenny Minogue. Minogue's time of 1:59 provided a solid lead as senior Pat Daly who finished with a strong 2:02 and well in front of the second place finishing team Jeff which ran 8:16 while Daviess dropped to third. The new record beat last year's school record of 8:08.42 established at the state meet. Currently, the 8:07.65 is the fastest mark in the state. The team is currently undefeated this track season and winners of the indoor state championship 4x800 at the Mason Dixon games.
