Triad Youth Lacrosse Association: News
Tuesday, April 5April 16- Virginia vs Duke likely to sellout
The Old North State Lacrosse Foundation is sponsoring a day of lacrosse, friendship, and food at the “Devil’s Deck” at Duke’s Koskinen Stadium. The reigning ACC champion Virginia Cavaliers are coming to Durham to take on the reigning NCAA champion Blue Devils on Saturday April 16th at 12:00 noon.
The ONS Foundation tailgate will start in the pavilion area above the locker rooms at 11:00am. Please come and spend time with your lacrosse friends and watch some great lacrosse! The cost is only $20 per person and you will receive a ticket for the game, guaranteed parking, and catered tailgate food and drink while we are there! This game will be sold out, so please reserve your space soon.
Please send $20 per person attending to the ONS Lacrosse Foundation, PO Box 2254, Jamestown, NC 27282. We need to let Duke Athletics know how many people will be attending by Monday April 11th. Please be sure to mail your check so we receive it before then or give it to Coach Goldsmith.

TYLA All-Stars
The TYLA all-star program is open to any age-eligible player who is registered with any TYLA affiliate organization (GLax, Burlington, Kernersville or Oakridge), as well as players participating in their school's middle school lacrosse program which interferes with TYLA participation this Spring.
Players are required to "play down" to their age eligible level. For example, some 7th graders are age eligible for U-13 all-stars and will be considered for that team.
A coaches referral is required to be selected to attend Sunday evening all star practices.
A coaches referral does not guarantee placement, but merely an opportunity to try-out for the coaches we have hired and practice with other recommended all-star candidates.
All star practices will start Sunday April 3 at Jesse Wharton and will continue each Sunday night (except Easter) till the end of the regular season.
Participation for practices and all tournaments are strongly suggested, but exceptions can be considered at the coach's discretion and roster slot availability.
Fee for TYLA All-stars/Travel team is $225.00 which includes coaching fees and tournament fees. No travel expenses are included in that fee and athlete is expected to purchase green TYLA all-star team shorts from Hammerhead if they don't already possess a pair from last year.
All star events include the following:
Swift Creek (Richmond Va area) May 21-22.
Summer Sizzle Charlotte, NC June 4-5
Greensboro LaxFest June 10-12
Please contact Billy Hook, Director of Coaching, if you have any questions.

Greensboro College Athletics Fundraiser
Greensboro College Athletic Department is hosting the first Pride Fest. We are launching this fundraiser to help expand the new weight room and to help teams with purchasing items that would not normally be included in their traditional operations budget (goals, field goals, etc.) This fundraiser is a draw down game - what that means is that on August 6th Greensboro College Athletics is hosting a big party and whoever purchases a ticket for this fundraiser is invited. Throughout the night we have cash drawings for different levels of prizes. Our goal is to sell 1000 tickets at $100 per ticket. I am trying to get as many people as I know involved because I want others to help the department, but I also want to have a great time at this party. I hope that you are enjoying working with the GC players with your team and that you will be willing to help out this cause. I have attached a flier for you to fill out and send in. Please include that you are making the donation on part of the GC Men's Lax Program. If you are working with one of the guys on the team, please include their name also. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you for your support,
Dan Cetrone
