THE TRIADBASSMASTERS
The Triadbassmasters was originally Chartered in July of 2007. Since its inception, the Triadbassmasters has sought to develop fishing skills, organize serious minded bass fishermen, and promote conservation. The Triadbassmasters has survived where other bass clubs have failed because the club is more than just a tournament club. The structure of the organization is geared not only to serious bass fishermen, but also incorporates a myriad of family social events. The family associations help to weld close personal friendships that preclude "at any cost" tournament mentalities.
Fund raisers are designed to defray cost, promote fishing education, and encourage young anglers.The club, which averages between a 8-20 Angler roster, also attributes its longevity to the camaraderie fostered by attendance and participation requirements. Genuine friendships are promoted through the clubs extra curricular activities making the tournament trail a serious, but friendly competition.The tournament trail begins in late Jan and culminates with the Championship Tournament on High Rock Lake in Nov. Trophies are awarded each tournament for the winner and Big Bass .
Creative tournament committees arrange for a variety of interesting/challenging draw formats that promote fairness and give everyone a shot at placing. If you are a serious minded fisherman who is tired of unproductive fishing and wanting to improve your skill, tackle, and knowledge You will learn from the best tournament anglers in the Traid. We currently compete on the Toyota Tundra Bassmasters Weekend Series, the WBT, and the FLW BFL's as well as the Bassmaster Southern Opens. So you will learn techniques right off the tournament trail.

Cover and Structure what are they? Well this will clear up the confusion and make you a better Bass Angler.
COVER: Cover is any object above or below a fishery water line that affords somewhat temporary habitat for aquatic animals. Aquatic plants often comprise the vast majority of cover in a fishery. Whether it is an annual (subject to die off; seeds usually transported to a fishery), perennial (able to reproduce itself by seed replacement or plant parts spreading from a parent plant), or on up to a living tree standing in water, all are considered much more temporary than structure. Cover can be part of the fishery floor, floating in the water, on the surface, or hanging over the water from a bank or shoreline. Cover is generally thought of as any object capable of being moved or self-propagated. It can include sunken trees and tree/shrub tops whether by nature or man-caused, movable fish attractor, aquatic vegetation, a bridge span, moored vessel, temporary buoy, log jam, block of Styrofoam or other flotsam, stump, standing dead or live tree subject to decomposition, or flooded live brush.
STRUCTURE: Permanent features making up the floor and edges of a fishery. A structure can include both natural geological features and man-made objects generally lasting from year to year under water, the best being stable for decades and centuries. Bridge supports make great structure while the bridge itself is considered cover even though quite permanent. Any ridge, ledge, hump, boulder, seawall, jetty, hole in the floor, sunken boat or bus, train trestle, road bed, or anything else permanently part of a fishery floor or edges (bank/shoreline/coast).
HUMP: An isolated mid water natural structure which is an abrupt protrusion above the fishery floor that is completely surrounded by water. It could also be named a KNOB, BUMP, PILE, or any of many other terms peculiar to various regions. I pile would be a hump but not necessarily of natural origin, being maybe a dumped load of riprap. Around my area a hump is also called a BASS MAGNET, though bass most often suspend there and remain quite inactive until excited to a major feeding frenzy. They are sometimes best fished with crankbaits that can reach them, drop shotted crankbaits to get even deeper, and C-rigs. Bass go to those isolated ambush spots to await schools of baitfish swimming over or around them. They are used by many fish species as migration milestones.

Our tournaments are draw format; and Boater and Co-Angler share the time on the front of the boat. (Which means that you get 4 hours on the front, then you must allow the co-angler 4 hours on the front, they also get to go to there own spots) All tournaments have been changed to Sunday, due to members work schedule: We will draw for pairings at the ramp before the tournaments;

Scoring is done on points system, starting with 30 for 1st, 29 for 2nd and so on…… Big fish breaks a tie. If a club member does not catch any fish, they still get 5 points for participating.
1st place gets an extra 10 points Big Fish gets an extra 5 points
Remember that we each will drop our worst tournament in points for the year. If you zeroed your worst one, then you lose nothing. If you caught fish at all the tournaments, then you will lose the points from your worst finish. If (for example) you had two tournaments that you finished 5th in and that was your worst finish, then the points from the tournament with the lowest weight would be the one that is dropped.
Remember that at the end of the year the club member with the most total weight gets an extra 15 points added to their total points and the club member who catches the biggest bass for the year gets 10 extra points added to their total points. Next tournament is November 15th – High Rock – 8 to 3
