Tri-Cities Has A Split Decision

July 14 & 15 - In a high scoring game, TC outlasted Hampshire 15-12 in 4 innings on July 14.    The game was long and painful to watch at times as there were many walks given up by both team.  On the following night (July 15), the team bats struggled which led to a 14-0 loss to host Woodstock.    TC has a 2-1 record and waits the results of Wednesday's games to find out whether they will play in the championship round on Thursday night.

Tri-Cities is scheduled to play in the Bartlett Summer Classic starting the July 19.    Schedule information has not been finalized.

DeAtley Pitches Perfect Game

DeAtley is "Perfect"

July 13 – Backed by the strong defensive play of his teammates, Kyle DeAtley notched a perfect game (no hits OR base runners) in Tri-Cities 3-0 win over Marengo in the first game of the Sullivan Tournament in Woodstock.    DeAtley pitched only 59 pitches with seven strikeouts.   Good defense by shortstop RJ Consigny and second baseman Dillon Kuhn with clean catches by Jon Suarez at first along with the catch of a fly ball by Ethan Konicek helped DeAtley in his effort.    The TC bats struck for 10 hits led by DeAtley’s triple and single, 2 singles by Jon Suarez, a double by Max Swienton, and singles by Consigny, Kuhn, Emilio Martinez, Gabe Askam, and Jon Roman.
