Peewee/Bantam Goalie
The Kent Cyclones are looking for an experienced Bantam and/or
PeeWee Goalie. We have reduced the player fee drastically.
The Kent Cyclones offer an experienced goalie training staff
to include former NHL goalie Damian Rhodes, who will be working
exclusively with our goalies on Monday nights. Damian spent several
seasons in the NHL as goalie for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and
Atlanta Thrashers.
Additional goalie coaching staff includes David Bown who played
goalie for the Springfield Junior Blues (NAHL), Estevan Bruins (SJHL), and was
Goaltender instructor at Jon Elkins Goalie School located in Toronto, ON.
If you are an experienced AA, A1 or A2 level player, please contact Mark
Ostrander at TriCountyCTA@aol.com or
at 330-940-9184.

Preseason Schedule
The
preseason schedules have been posted to KentCyclones.com!
There
is a bug with the calendar on the home page so please only use the calendar in
your team section of kentcyclones.com
To
access your team page, please click on Teams -> then [your team name]. This
will take you to the page with your team information. If you select calender on
the navigation page from here you'll see all the practices and games pertinent
to your team, and only your team :).
If
you are looking to download the game schedule into Outlook, Google Cal, Yahoo or
your iPhone the best option is to go to CSHLHockey.org and selecting one of
these options.
*Team managers
should cross-reference the dates and times on your team calendar with
CSHLHockey.org.
We have drastically exceeded our preseason game schedule for 2011. Most
teams that had 6 - 8 games last year have 10 - 12 games this year. I can't wait
to see how we look once the regular season rolls around.
For those of you new to travel hocky October is historically our busiest
month. CSHL uses the preseason to properly rank your team with like competition,
and you'll find that most regular season games are all extremely close because
of this process. However, the preseason games could have blowout games either
way because initial team rankings are based upon the organizations best
guess.
Our teams will be playing 8 - 12 games in 35 days. To put it into
perspective the regular season is about the same number of games and it goes
for 4 months. Please regularly check our website for changes and updates. This
is going to go fast and our first action for updates will always be the
website.
See you at the rink.
Thanks,
Kent Cyclones
