History of the Tri-City Falcons

Our Youth Football and Cheer Organization has been in the Harbor area for over 40 years. We began as the Lomita Falcons Jr. All-American League. We were later known as the Lomita-Harbor City Falcons, and then the Lomita/Harbor City/San Pedro Falcons. For the past 14 years we have been known as the Tri-City Falcons of Pop Warner Football & Cheer, in acknowledgement of the three cities joining(Lomita/Harbor City/San Pedro). Today we are with the Pacific Coast Conference, still known as the Tri-City Falcons.

Many of our Football Players and Cheerleaders have gone on to play and Cheer at Local High Schools. Some football players continue to play at Division 1A Colleges and Jr. Colleges. For instance, Herschel Dennis of USC, Donnelle Wheaton of UNLV, Christopher Davis of UNM, Joe Ford of South-West College, Justin Andrews of Oregon, Deshon Goldson of Washington University, Tyrone Barnes of El Camino College, Jabbar Meador of San Diego Community College, Stanley Ahsoon of Harbor College, and Jamal Gatlin of El Camino College. With future talented high school and College bound prospects on the way.

Since the early 80's the "Falcons" have won multiple Championships, and Bowl Games. Some of our teams have traveled to Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, San Diego etc. For the past 20 years the Falcons have won 90% of Bowl Games played. Our Cheer Squads have been very competitive in all Competitions they have participated in. Tri-Cities has been competitive both On and Off the field. Our Academic Scholar Program has progressed over the years. In 2002 Tri-City won the honors of the top two national scholars for their Academic Achievements, with more continued success in years to come. We have alot of tradition and passion for our youth football and cheerleading organization. With continued heart, dedication, parental support and volunteers, the limits are endless for the Tri-City Falcons.

"My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging." - Hank Aaron
