Travis Ranch Middle School Color Guard: Welcome

Great job at the show on Saturday ladies! We got the first show out of the way so that the new members can see how it works. We still have alot of work to do on our show but I need you guys to do your part. As I teach you work, you need to go home and practice it. Alot of us have been slacking in this department, this is a problem. In order to be a competitive team we need to practice at home, make sure we understand how to do everything, and REMEMBER HOW TO DO IT at the next practice. Please practice at home!!! At our next show we will see some of our competition, let's make sure we are prepared.

I got the comments from the judges and we will talk about all of it on Tuesday. Let's work hard these next few weeks, see you on Tuesday!

Saturday, February 25th- OC Invitational (at Marina High School)

Call time: 8:20am

Show up wearing:

• costume
• tennis shoes
• hair done (two braids)
• make-up done
• no jewelry
• no nail polish

In your duffle bag:

• tan jazz shoes
• make-up
• hair stuff (gel, hairspray, bobby pins, comb, etc...)
• water
• snacks/lunch/money for food

In your flag bag:

• Flag
• sabre
• gloves

You will arrive at Marina High School at 8:20am. DO NOT BE LATE! We had a few girls arrive late at our last show, please make sure you have accurate directions and leave enough time to get to our show site ON TIME. When you arrive, find the car that is transporting the mat, we will all meet there. We will then drop the mat off at the loading zone and head to warm-up. When warm-up is over we will change our shoes and head over to the loading zone to pick up our mat and props. We perform at 10:42am. When we are finished we will load the mat into the car, and then head to the locker room. There you will change out of your costume and into your guard warm-ups. (team t-shirt, warm-up pants and jacket) After that, we will all go as a group and sit in the stands (just like our last show) and watch a guards until the awards ceremony. The awards ceremony starts at 1:30pm and ends around 2pm. After the awards ceremony, we will meet quickly and then you are free to go.
