Jamboree Weekend
Team #2 had a great showing at the Jamboree this weekend. Taking a win from Team #4 and tying with Team #5. Congratulations to all the Team #2 players who participated in the Pass, Punt ans Run competition. Cameron Anzer placed second in the pass, great job!
Team #2 played Team #4 in the first game of the Jamboree. It was sure to be a tough head to head battle until Tyler Glenn bolted down the field on the offenses first series to score a touchdown. Two more points were added with an extra point kick by Sammy Williams. Team #2's top defense came in and with several great tackles they stopped Team #4 from any hope of getting into the end zone. Team #2 would take the game with a score of 8-0.
Team #2 then took on Team #5 in a back and forth game that would eventually end in a tie. Team #5 would strike first, but a breakaway run by Ryan (Killer) Gardner would put Team #2 in great field position. Antonio Hines would add some yardage for the "O" to let Killer sprint into the endzone to tie the score. The "D" held strong until the clock ran out leaving a 6-6 ending to the game.

Team #2 rolls over Sycamore at Preview
Team #2 came back out ready to battle on Sunday August 16th at their preview game against the Sycamore Aviators. Great offensive play by all would again lead the Hawks to draw first blood as Cody Shiver broke away and sprinted down field to put Lakota up by six. The Sycamore defense was no match against the offense of Team #2 as they marched downfield two more times in the course of the game to get eighteen points against their opponents. Some Key blocks by the "O" opened up holes for Shiver and Glenn to reach the endzone. Team #2's strong defense was on their game with powerful tackling and great pass coverage. Time and time again the Hawks put a stop to the Aviator advance. The final score ended 18-6 as the clock ran out to give Team #2 an undefeated weekend!

Later in the game Marcos Aull would find the endzone ands with a Preston Gamble kick Team #2 headed to the end of the game with an impressive 20-0 lead over Mason.
