Thursday, November 7
Against a stingy defense and effective offense the boys were determined to have a second undefeated season. The win was followed by a season-ending party and awards banquet. What a special season with a special group of boys and families. It was nice to finish off the season with a victory. We were nervous about playing a very good team twice in one season as it is always tough to beat a team twice in the same season. It was fun to see our defense play well and our offense have a balanced attack and control the line of scrimmage to seal the game. Great job boys. Play Hard. Have Fun. Thank you.
Monday, October 28
Wow, what a fun game. It was definitely a battle for the whole game. It was exciting to see different boys step up and contribute and make plays both on offense and defense. Our defense was stingy when it had to be and our offense moved the ball in a balanced way in order to get a victory. Great job against a tough and improving Cougar team the second time fellas!
Monday, October 14
The boys were competing in their third game in 7 days against several very good teams. Saturday night the boys were solid on defense getting a shut-out against an improving SM East Lancer team. We were able to open up the passing game while maintaining good balance running. We were able to get 9-10 kids "touches" on the ball. That is always fun to see. Great job guys. Bye week is the week.
Friday, October 11
A slower start than we like, but "bend, but dont break" defense was the key. The boys were able to make some great plays on defense and turn some turnovers into scores as well. The offense finally got clicking with a balanced attack of run and pass. Special teams were solid again. Great win against the Cougars.
Monday, October 7
In a hard-hitting game against a well prepared SM East team, the boys were able to get another solid victory. We were effective in the run game as well as the passing game moving the ball. We were disciplined on both sides of the ball as well as special teams in order to get a victory. Great job fellas.
Thursday, September 26
The boys were off and running offensively again this past weekend against a solid SM South Raider team. The boys were able to establish the run game and find quite a bit of success through the air. The balanced offense continues to get performance from all the play-makers. The offensive line play continues to improve and the technique and communcation have developed rapidly. Defense was stingy again giving up only one score. Several interceptions and big hits on defense kept the Raiders backed up most of the game. Great job fellas, keep it going.
Monday, September 16
The offense was starting to click in the second game. We were able to move the ball on the ground and through the air and secure and early lead. The defense was then able to secure a shut out. Several of the boys stepping up and playing different positions this weekend against a sizable SM North opponent. Improved execution in all phases of the game this weekend. Great job boys!
Wednesday, September 11
Top Athlete Performance has agreed to conduct their speed and agility training session at the Complex for the boys. Each player is getting the instruction and workout needed to improve and perform at a high-level. See the link below for their website to learn more about their program.
Sunday, September 8
The boys were excited and ready to get the season under way Saturday. It was a tough and physical game against a good SM West team. The defense was tough all night long allowing very few positive yardage plays. The offense moved the ball through the air and the ground. We did have some early season mistakes, but the boys got a nice win 22-0. Great job guys.
Friday, August 16
The team will travel to Baldwin City, KS this weekend to practice and participate in Baker University's opening practice. The boys will practice on the game field and be able to watch the Wildcat practice up close. Pizza Hut in Baldwin City is preparing for the boys visit and will provide the post-practice meal.
Wednesday, August 14
We are beyond the conditioning practices now and getting into the swing of things. The boys practices on Mondays have been a little rough, but they have responded the rest of the week with great practices. We have one more practice this week and then off to Baker University for a team-building and to watch their first practice of the year. Great start boys!
Tuesday, August 6
The new season got started last night. We had a really good first practice of the year. The boys were in pretty good shape and we covered much of our offense last night. We will work on defense and special teams tonight. Good work boys!
Friday, July 26
We have updated the calendar with our practice schedule. The first practice is August 5th!
Monday, February 11
After a convincing win Saturday morning we finished with a bittersweet ending to the BVRC as we did end up with one loss, but in head-to-head competition we beat our opponent by more than they beat us. The boys put themsleves in a position to be champions even with a loss.
We also wrapped up the Premiere league with another strong performance and another win.
The boys ended the season 22-8, learned a lot, had a lot of fun and really came together as a team even though we added 6 players this year.
The boys always played hard on defense and gave a great effort which will always serve them well.
Go Titans, Play Hard, Have Fun!
Monday, February 4
With two more wins this weekend, the Titans have clearly made a giant step forward. Both games were highlighted by stingy defense and improved passing. It is always fun to see the boys play hard and as a team and also get a couple wins. Keep it going guys!
Sunday, January 27
The boys continue to have scrappy wins. Which means defensively they are giving great effort and continue to get good looks and scores in transition. We still have some work to do on our offensive sets, but our effort is consistently high. Two more good wins this weekend!
Tuesday, January 22
The Titans were in action this weekend with 3 games. All the games were competitive and the boys responded each time. We were a little short-handed with only 7 players for both the Sunday games, but the boys played with tenacity on defense and even though we were down late in the Sunday night game we were able to get a win against a very strong team. Great job boys!
Monday, January 14
The boys put two excellent games together this weekend. Coach Trusdale and I are really proud of the defensive intensity that we had for both games. That intensity is getting us into our transition offense and we are executing better in our half-court sets. Really fun to see the boys play right now!
Tuesday, January 8
The boys were a little rusty Saturday and Sunday, but we were able to get a couple of hard fought wins. Our defense seems to be doing quite well with our offense still needing some work. Our transition offense is improving, but still not quite where it needs to be either. We added a couple wrinkles to our Zone offense and we are developing a second man offense.
Monday, December 10
Saturday against one of the better teams in the area, the boys put together a great second half defensive effort and came out with a victory. We were able top play against some Titans which always makes things fun. Sunday the boys started off with a great defensive effort right from the start and never looked back. Two nice wins for the Titans this weekend!
Monday, December 3
Great effort against a very tough team. We came up three points short in the end. "Hustle points" are back with everyone getting on the board. Overall effort was great to see and makes us a better team. Good work boys.
Sunday, December 2
It wasn't a pretty first half, but the boys cranked up their intensity in the second half on defense and were able to pull away against a strong team. We were not able to get the ball in the basket, but despite missing a significant number of easy baskets we were able to get the win. Sometimes things are not going your way offensively and you have to make up for it with defensive intensity. Good start boys.
Sunday, November 18
The boys were in action this weekend a bit short-handed, but managed to bring good defensive energy and improved production on offense. We were able to change defenses effectively and improve our man-to-man defense. Good work boys!
Sunday, November 18
The Titans were in action in Topeka over the weekend. The boys performed at a high-level in both games winning the tournament. We were able to get past a strong Omaha team and then hold off a very strong and big Wichita team to round out a great year.
Fantastic job boys and special thanks to all the coaches and team helpers. We could not have done it without you.
Wednesday, November 7
The basketball team got started last Sunday. Without really any practices the boys were able to put together an aggressive effort and get a win against the GE Blazers. Good work boys. Practices are now starting up so be sure to keep healthy and bring a hat for after practice.
Wednesday, November 7
The Titans are planning to play a post-season bowl game the weekend of November 17th-18th. This will be a good test against some very good teams. We will only have a couple practices to get geared up.
Monday, November 5
In a dominating offensive and defensive performance the boys put together a complete game against a solid and undefeated SM East team.
It was fun to see everyone contribute and finish the season undefeated winning 50-0. We followed the game with a banquet recognizing each Titan as well as all our coaches, helpers, sponsors and parents. We also passed out trophies, medals, pictures, notes and the Hammer Awards!
What a great and memorable season. Go Titans. Play Hard. Have Fun.
Monday, October 29
In a solid late season match up the SM Northwest Cougars were ready for us. The boys were able to stop the cougars, convert a 4th down pass and build a small lead early in the game. In the second half, the Titans were dominate in the performance on both offense and defense with everyone getting in the action. Big win against a strong team.
Sunday, October 21
On a crisp early morning the Titans showed up ready to play and play hard. We were able to get an early lead and our defense was stellar again. We were also able to get boys playing multiple positions both as we expanded our lead and as a result of injuries. We continue to have boys step up and deliver in many ways. What a fun group of kids.
Sunday, October 14
First time we ever started a game on Saturday and ended it on Sunday. Due to weather we started on Saturday and finished Sunday. SM South played hard for the whole game, but the boys were able to getting plenty of scores and play stingy defense to get the Victory. The boys are making great progress on the field and in the classroom. Keep up the good work boys.
Sunday, October 7
The boys have been practicing hard and working for our game this past Saturday. We were able to hold them on their opening drive and get a TD on our opening drive. We were able to connect for a scoring play on the last play of the first half to extend our victory and add another score in the third quarter. Our defense was stellar again keeping the Jags out of the endzone for another shut out. Big Win for the Titans!
Tuesday, September 25
We were able to execute our offense and get a significant number of boys "touches" on the ball and put up quite a few points. Defensively we were also playing hard and aggressive. It was good to get a win over SM East and keep the momentum going. We have really been proud of the boys showing up to play and play hard. Good work boys.
Monday, September 17
The boys started out playing hard and kept playing hard until the final whistle. We were able to get a significant number of players touches and move the ball up and down the field, while holding the SM West Vikings from moving the ball. It was a fun game under the lights on the showcase field! Good work boys.
Monday, September 10

The Titans traveled to Des Moines, IA for a tournament this weekend. The boys came out and played very hard for all three games. The boys worked on special teams responsibilities as well as participate in the special teams rodeo and try their hand at kicking, punting, snapping, holding and catching kicks/punts. It was a fun practice, but the boys were focused for it.
Thursday, August 2
The Titans were forced to go to a defensive walk-through practice due to the heat, but it worked out great for teaching. Coach Jaynes brought a great life lesson for the boys as well. The boys were very engaged and did a great job learning.
Tuesday, July 31
Football season got underway last night at the Titan Sports Complex. What a great night for football with a break in the heat. We had a solid first practice focused heavily on offense. JC, AB, TR, LT and BM all having solid opening practices. Tonight we have a defensive oriented practice scheduled
Tuesday, June 12
The boys put the finishing touches on a solid baseball season. Finishing above .500 with significant improvement in most areas. It was fun to see the boys improve and battle through injuries this season. From sore arms, sore legs, broken hands and wrists it was a tough season to keep them all healthy. Special thanks to Coach Heath for all his time and effort keeping the Titan Baseball team rolling! Good work boys.
Thursday, June 7
The boys have played a couple of league games splitting the games and going 1-1 over that time frame and then followed that up with a 3rd place finish in a tournament this past weekend. Falling to the team from Sedalia again. Only a couple league games remain on the schedule.
Thursday, May 31
After a long weekend we came out a little flat and were not as sharp as we had hoped in the first game of the week. However, the boys bounced back behind our long-ball power, solid pitching and defense we were able to get a nice win. Good luck in the tournament this weekend Titans.
Monday, May 14
The boys were active hitting and aggressive on the base path. It was a close battle for the first couple of innings, but we were able to open a big lead and then hold them off in the end. Good work boys!
Monday, May 7
The boys have been battling hard in league and then in a tournament this weekend. We were able to get third place in the tournament after a slugglish league game. The boys performance in the tournament was very good allowing us to get a lot of reps in this weekend. All aspects of the game are improving and fun to see.
Tuesday, April 24
In a late game, the boys battled hard, but could not find a hole in the defense. Every hit for 4 innings was right at someone. That is baseball. Sometimes they all seem to fall in and other days they all seem to go right at someone.
Tuesday, April 17
Falling a little short on a comeback last week was a little disappointing, but the boys responded last night against a very good Patriots team to get a solid win. Good pitching, catching, hitting and a solid mental effort gave the boys a big win!
Friday, April 6
Good pitching, good hitting and good defense were keys to the boys getting their first league victory. While still working off the rust the boys are starting to look pretty solid. Two games next week!

In another great performance the boys were able to gain and keep control of the game from the very start. Our improved defensive pressure is creating the type of game we like to play. Our "help" defense has really improved as well as our general court awareness. Hard work pays off! Good job boys.
Monday, February 6
If you like good basketball then you like what you saw Saturday. The boys put together an awesome team effort. In the most complete game the boys have played they were able to dismantle the Heat notch a victory. Really solid defense was the key!

Playing in the Premiere league for the first time, the boys were able to take second place in the final tournament of the season. The boys were 6-1 dropping the championship game. Good work guys!
Sunday, December 11
The cardiac kids were in action again today. We started slow and still struggled to get the ball in the bucket even though we are getting good shots and plenty of rebounds. We started slow and kept looking for the right combination of players to get things going. We were on the boys about their effort in the first half. We were able to cut their lead to 6 at half and then battle back and gut out a victory. Winning sure beats losing. Go Titans!
Saturday, December 10
For the second straight week we have had trouble getting the ball bouncing around the rim, to fall through the basket. Last week we were able to over come that, but this week we were a little short-handed too and came up short in a late rally. The boys continue to play hard in practices and the games, we just have to get better at getting the ball to fall through the net.
Monday, December 5
The boys started out with an early game on Saturday, but were ready to go right from the start. We were down a couple players so everyone got plenty of playing time and we were able to hold a strong competitor to one field goal for the entire game.
Sunday evening were were taking on a pesky team with some solid players, but were able to open a sizable lead with good ball movement and solid defense. We had several boys have their best games of the year and on court communication is improving. Sam topped off the weekend and his birthday (as well as Payton's) with a sweet 3 pointer!
Sunday, November 20
The boys showed up and got after it today. Against the Swish and the Kings the boys played hard. It is always fun to see the boys play hard and make up for lack of practices and early season challenges and get victories. Great effort boys!
Tuesday, November 15
Wondering what Synderian is...means to coach at a high-level. Actually, great job boys, got everyone in the action and Jordan even playing without a shoe! Great effort as the hoops team rolls on.
Monday, November 7
In the first game of the year the boys played hard and got a win Sunday. Without many practices and several new boys learning on the fly we were able to get enough buckets to get the victory. Fun to see the boys out there hustling.
Saturday, October 29
Both teams were in action early Saturday to finish up the regular season. In the early morning frost Titan Purple started strong and finished off the SM East Lancers with a big win. Thursday, October 20
A little bird alerted the Titan Webmaster that several Titans have made the Honor Roll. Congratulations to Trevor, Jordan, Sam and Payton.
Happy Birthday Austin!
Remember to let us know about your Titan excelling outside of sports.
Sunday, October 16
Titans Purple have been working hard and getting better. The results translated to the field on Saturday with a dominant performance over ONW. The defense only allowed 3 first downs and the offense was able to get 3 big scores while getting everyone involved on both sides of the ball.
Titans Black continue to roll up big wins. With extra effort in practice this week the boys were able to improve and bring that to the field on Sunday in a huge win over SM South. We were able to get multiple boys into the action and playing different positions with this big win. Good work boys.
Tuesday, October 11
Sunday, October 9
The boys were in action early Saturday. Titan Purple was up first against Olathe East and a tricky offense. We were able to stop the OE team from scoring and were able to have a balanced offense. Titan Black went up against a big SM West team. The first half was in control, but a real challenge. The second half we opened up a strong lead and never looked back.
Sunday, October 2
Titans Black got things started early with an impressive victory over a very good BVW team. We were able to win the first half and dominate in the second half. Titans Purple were on stage later in the day. Against a very hard-playing Louisburg team the boys were able to open up with an impressive drive and set the tone from the opening whistle. We were able to run a balanced offense as our O-line continues to improve. Defensively we are getting better each week and the boys are playing harder. Go Titans.
Sunday, September 25
Titan Black came out a little slow, but eventually gained control of the game by half-time and closed out with a dominating performance against a strong SM East team. Titan Purple continues to improve with strong defense and as the offense started to roll finally tied the game, but drew a penalty from 50 yards behind the play against a strong OE team and were not able to recover.
Both teams continue to improve and we are playing harder each game. More wins on the way!
Saturday, September 17
The Purple team started the day early and moved the ball up and down the field, but could not overcome penalties, mental mistakes and two long runs by the Falcons. The Black team was fired up and ready to go in the next game and looked like they were in mid-season form and were able to get the win against the Ravens.
Sunday, September 11
Wow, what a great way to start the regular season. The Titans (Purple) got off to an exciting start to the season winning in OT against a very tough Paola team. The Titans (Black) were able to get a nice early season victory against Turner.
What a great weekend for football and a great start to the 2011 regular season.
Wednesday, September 7

Friday, August 26
The Titan Sports Club opened their Football field last night. The Sod Shop, Beck's Lawn Service and EJ construction were all instrumental in this state-of-the-art field.
Most importantly the boys had a blast and we have added to our practice and scrimmage capabilities. We can still use the auxillary field as needed.
Saturday, August 20

Friday, July 1
After suffering the first league loss of the season the boys bounced back with two strong victories to seal the league championship. Finishing the league season at 14-1 improved upon the record from the previous season while winning the league title and achieving the goal Coach Heath and the boys agreed to prior to the season. Back by popular demand...Sam Hartman, in a season-ending, repeat performance finished the season on the mound shutting down the Bulldogs. Coach Heath commented at the post-season party, "You boys are winners, that will serve you well throughout your life!"
Thanks to our secret sponsors, Coach Nuss, Coach Mohl and Coach Hartman. Special thanks to Head Coach and General Manager Heath for all the time and effort he put into the season for the boys!
