We have 2 18U teams. Both 18U teams have just a couple of openings! 18U Gold is looking for one more pitcher!

The Tinley Park Rockers interviewed 3 possible managers for our 14U managing position. Our Organization felt that NONE of the 3 managers met the criteria that we were looking for. We will not have a 2013 14U Team.

Please note - that the above information DOES NOT AFFECT Manager Gary Rivera's 13U team. The 13U team has a manager and a complete coaching staff.

The Rocker Organization HAS NOT cashed any of the 14U deposit checks and WILL NOT do so. Your check has been destroyed.

If you have questions, you can send them to RockersSoftball@aol.com.

Tinley Park Rocker Overview

The Tinley Park Rockers softball program strongly emphasizes the fundamentals of softball, the importance of perfect execution and the importance of strong team chemistry.

The Tinley Park Rockers softball program provides a competitive yet positive softball environment that challenges each student/athlete, while allowing each to flourish, grow and develop as confident individuals and highly skilled softball players.

The ultimate goal for the Tinley Park Rockers coaching staff is to produce highly trained, educated individuals, armed with the necessary confidence to obtain their life long dreams.
We are now a “College Exposure Program”. All Tinley Park Rocker 16U and 18U teams will play majority of their tournament schedules in college exposure tournaments and showcases. At this age, these young ladies are looking to make their high school varsity team and to be noticed by a college coach. The time to play and waste money by attending a world series is just ridiculous. If you are playing softball to “win a medal” at this age, there are other softball programs for you.  In 2012, the Tinley Park Rockers sent our high school teams to the following College Exposure Tournaments:
  • June 2012 – 14U and 16U teams went to Compuware in Detroit, Michigan. Compuware is the most prestigious college exposure tournament in the Midwest. Our teams had to apply and fill out a resume to get into this tournament. Both teams were accepted and had a victorious weekend. We will be sending our 16U and 18U teams back to Compuware in 2013.
  • June 2012 – 16U team went to the Colorado Sparkler in Denver Colorado. This tournament is the largest college exposure tournament in the USA. Our team won 4 games against competition from the west coast softball powerhouse states.
  • July 2012 – 16U team went to the Buckeye Showdown in Columbus, Ohio. Our 16U team finished 2nd in pool with their only loss in a 4-3 game. In their final bracket game in 100+ degree heat, they came back to knockoff a team for Pittsburgh to put a cherry on a great weekend.
In the Fall of 2012, the Tinley Park Rockers already have 16U and 18U teams registered for and accepted to play in the following prestigious college exposure tournaments:

The strategy of the Tinley Park Rockers going forwarded is that our high school age teams will concern themselves with college exposure tournaments and not World Series bids, while our 10U through 8th grade teams play in top tournaments to build their resumes and will definitely attempt to qualify for World Series bids. 16U and 18U teams can still go to a World Series if they so choose, but that will be a decision that the coaching staff and parents will make together. The Rockers also started their new web site called www.rockerfastpitch.com and is currently going through design changes.

Coaching 2013

All Tinley Park Rockers Managers, Coaches, and any additional bench personnel must take the Coaching Certification Test and pass all background checks. These results must be turned in to the Rocker Organization before the Fall Season starts.

Tinley Park Rocker Teams for 2013

The Tinley Park Rockers are planning to field teams in the 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, and 18U age brackets for the 2013 softball season.

All players on the 11U, 12U, 13U,and 14U teams must be of the same age. This way, the roster of the team can stay together as they grow older and advance to the next age level. Teams can then improve by staying together and adding key players to the roster to make the team even stronger.

The Rocker program will now have 8 teams in its program. One team at every age level so that you or your child can progress through out the program and never have to worry about what team you will play on in the following season.

Each team’s roster will be containing 12 players. If a situation comes up that a team might require a larger roster, the manager and the parents on that team can inform the Rocker Organization that the larger roster is needed and accepted by the parents.

The Rocker Organization can also increase the roster for the good of the team and the Organization.

10U Rockers – Will play a mixture of a NSA and USSSA tournament schedule and will qualify for a Midwest area World Series.

11U Rockers Gold – Will play a mixture of a NSA and USSSA tournament schedule and will qualify for the USSSA 11U World Series.

12U Rockers Black and Gold (2 teams) – Will play a mixture of ASA, NSA, and USSSA tournament schedule and will play in the ASA Metro’s. This team will qualify for a Midwest area World Series of their choice.

13U Rockers Gold – Will play a mixture of ASA, NSA, and USSSA tournament schedule and will play in the ASA Metro’s. This team most likely will play in the USSSA 13U World Series, but the ASA Nationals are also a possibility..
