Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) When & where are the practices?
A) We do not set your practices. The teams decide what days and times practices will be held. Team typically practice once or twice a week depending on the age groups.
Q) Where are the games played?
A) All games are played in either East Mesa or East Gilbert parks or schools. We do not know exact locations until we have received ALL registrations, so we know how many fields we need for each season.
Q) Does my child get a jersey?
A) YES, all kids will get jerseys and flag belts.
Q) My child and his/her friend want to be on the same team. Is that possible?
A) Absolutely! Just make sure to put their names in the "Friend Request" area of the registration form. HOWEVER.....if you wait to register at the last minute, there are no guarantees that you will get placed on the team you requested, if that team is full.
Q) Can I ask to be on a team with a certian coach?
A) YES! Just put the name of the coach in the "COACH REQUEST" area of the registration form. Since we have great coaches in our league, many teams fill up fast. You need to register EARLY if you are requesting to be with a certain coach. Once a team fills up, we cannot guarantee you will get placed with that coach if you wait till the last minute to register. Timing is VERY important when asking for certain coaches.
Q) When is the deadline to register?
A) Although there are registration deadlines on the forms, we fill up fast and sometimes have to close registration before the listed deadline. We highly suggest if you want to get your child in, then you need to register as soon as possible. Do not wait till the last minute to register as we may not accept your registration if all the teams are full.
Q) Do you give refunds?
A) Sorry, there are NO refunds for ANY reason.
Q) How will you contact me about the Coaches Meeting and what team my child is on?
A) We will post the meeting date on the web site. If you provide us with your e-mail address, we will also send you an e-mail notifying you of this information. Coaches will contact the players after the meeting.
Q) Can I bring in an entire team?
A) Yes, as long as everybody puts your name in the "Coach Request" area of the registration form and they get the registration form into us early enough, we can make sure your team stays together. The best way is to send us ALL the registrations in one envelope.
Q) I would like to be Head coach of my childs team. How can I do that?
A) We have MANY dads that want to coach their childs team. However, we cannot guarantee anyone to be "head coach" unless you bring in at least 6 or 7 players. ALL of those players MUST put your name in the "Coach Request" section of the registration form. They must also register while registration is OPEN. We cannot take in late registrations.
Q) My child has never played sports before. Will that be a problem?
A) Not at all. We encourage all players at all skill levels to participate.
Q) What if I want to switch teams?
A) We do not allow team switching.
Q) Do you do team photos? When and where are they done?
A) Again, we make it easy for the parents. All team photography is done at the fields prior to the start of your game on a pre-set date. You don't have to worry about scheduling time to go to a different location for photos. We also hand out your teams photos at the fields once they are completed!
Q) How do I sign up?
A) There are 3 ways to sign up. 1) Mail in your signed registration form and payment to the address listed on the form. 2) Register here from our web site. Just go to the Registration link. 3) you can wait till our Walk In Registration, but we do fill up fast and may have some age groups closed by then, so it is important that you sign up EARLY!
