NFL Flag Football Rules:

We have minimized the rules for the 3-4 Pee Wee Division so the kids are not overwhelmed. The other age groups play by the regular NFL Flag Football rules.

 PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Kids Zone Youth Sports & Thunder Alley NFL Flag Football was developed to enhance children’s basic knowledge of sports, while creating a fun, healthy and happy environment for all players and parents. We want the best for our children and as adults we must work together to ensure the well being and positive attitude of all children in the league. As a parent in the Kids Zone Youth Sports / Thunder Alley NFL Flag program, I agree to follow the Code of Conduct below:

1) I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for the children, not for adults.

2) I will inform the coach of any physical disability that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of others.

3) I will learn the rules of the game and policies of the league.

4) I will encourage and demonstrate good sportsmanship regardless of the score by acting in a positive manner towards all players, officials and coaches.

5) I will show respect to all coaches, referees and league officials.

6) I will not engage in any unsportsman like conduct, such as heckling, insulting, belittling, harassing or arguing with any coach, referee ,official, the opposing team or league personnel.

7) I will place my child’s emotional and physical well being ahead of my own desire to win.

8) I will not use profane, vulgar or demeaning language at any practice or games.

9) I will volunteer to help my child’s team by coaching,  planning team parties, arranging pick up of uniforms/trophies/pictures, making phone calls and or other items that may need attending to.

10) I will not use or allow my child to use drugs, or alcohol at any practices or games.

11) I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning, so my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game by his/her performance.

12) I will help to ensure a litter free environment by cleaning up my trash before leaving the field after any practice or game.

13) I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a game.

14) I will encourage sportsmanship behavior to my child and have him/her shake hands with the other team, their coaches and the officials at the end of every game.

15) I will praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard and make my child feel like a winner every time.

16) I will not use offensive language in front of any child at practices or games, nor will I use offensive language to any league personnel, coaches, officials or other parents/spectators.

I understand that when I register my child I agree to the Parent Code of Conduct and any violations of the Parent’s Code of Conduct will not be tolerated and could result in the suspension of myself and child from the league without warning. I also understand that the officials and league personnel have the authority to have me removed/leave  the property/games for any violations of the Parents Code of Conduct.
