One of the additions this year to “Residence Eligibility Requirements” strengthens the policy to include a February 1 date to establish residence for eligibility. Here is the pertinent text that appears on page 16 of the rulebooks in 2011:

“Residence shall be established and supported by documents, date on or before February 1 of the current year, from THREE OR MORE of the following…”

Some have asked if this actually means that the three residency documents must be dated between January 1 of the current year, and February 1 of the current year. The answer is no. The documents only need to be dated on or before February 1 of the current year, as it states in the policy. That means a document from, for example, July 3 of the previous year, would be acceptable, since it is dated on or before February 1 of the current year.

Bryan leagues are holding their walkup registration at the Bryan High School Silver Campus Cafeteria on January 24th and 25th as well as February 1st and 2nd from 6:00 PM. til 8:00 PM.
