The overnight camp focuses on individual development emcompassed by all areas of skill improvement. Campers will improve through teaching progressions, specific stroke drills, and individual attention from the Texas Tech and other Division I collegiate coaches. Singles and doubles strategies and matchplay will also take place every afternoon. Registration runs from 3-4pm each Sunday. The camp begins at 4pm that day and will run through noon on Thursday.

Team Camp

Junior High and High School teams
The team camp focuses on team development emcompassed by all areas of skill improvement. Teams will be coached by Div. I coaches, both male and female, each morning, with emphasis placed on skill improvement, teamwork, motivation, and strategies. Each afternoon, teams will play matches against other teams to develop positions, competiveness, and team spirit. Registration runs from 12 - 12:30pm, Sunday. The camps begins that day and will run through noon on Tuesday, Aug 12.
Team reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis. Camp is for teams up to 10 players.Coaches MUST contact Cari Groce at 806-789-8769 or cari.groce@ttu.edu and submit a complete team roster before players can register for the team camp.
Team members are housed in Stangel-Mudough dorms with instructors and college coaches staying in the dorms for supervision. Each team is given a college coach who serves as your instructor and motivator throughout the camp.
Mornings include instruction and strategy talks from staff, followed by team workouts.
Afternoon session includes mock dual matches allowing teams to see who best fits singles, doubles, mixed doubles positions throughout the week. A team champion will be named by tournaments end.
In the evenings college coaches discuss NCAA compliance, college preparation chats regarding recruitment and how to prepare for the college bound student-athlete.
The Commuter teams arrive at the courts daily at 8am, check-in on Sunday is required, and lunch is provided.
UIL RULES: The UIL restricts high school coaches from on-court instruction during the camp, however, coaches can attend and watch and interact with the camp coaches during the camp. The coaches cannot stay in dorms, and high schools cannot provide transport, this must be provided by parents, carpool. Remember there is 24 supervision at all Camp of Champion camps so instructors will be in dorms with your athletes.

Ages 9-17
Coaches, parents, recreation directors, are encouraged to contact the Tech staff to design a custom camp in which the Tech staff comes to your town and will run a 2, or 3 day mini camp. The cost is per camper, with a minimum of 20+ campers required for each camp.
