2006 PLAYER OF THE YEAR

21-jarvis-pittman
Jarvis Pittman
Jarvis Pittman, what can you say about a person who by all mean describe the word OUTSTANDING. He made some of the greatest catches on offense and great hits on defense. He does not look like a player with all the talent. But again we our reminded that we should never judge a book by its cover.

RIDERS WENT TO MEXICO

The exhibition game in Piedras Negras Mexico between the South Texas Heat and the San Antonio RIDERS was very successful. The Venados Youth Club had over three thousand in attendance. The Heat came out strong and leaded 14-0 at half time. The Riders came out in the second half quick and tie the score in the middle of the third quarter. Nevin Mckenise scored on a 55 yard run. And the next series Dre Smith scored from the 3 yards TD and Michael Fischer stomp over for a the extra point. In the fourth quarter the heat score again with a long pass. The Riders answer right back with a 82 yard kick return for a TD by Devin Hemphill. This tie the score again 20 –20 with less than 3 minutes left in the game. The Heat had one more trick in the bag with a 44 pass for a score. The Riders looked for a miracle, but time ran out. The finale score Heat 28 – Riders 20! We plan to return next year and make a traditional event.

The players had a great time after the game with all the food and drinks till they drop. They also sign autograph till the ink ran out. We had a blast before the game, in the game and after the game. Now it time to rest and prepare for the 2006 Riders season kick off.

To all Riders that travel to Mexico trip, you are welcome to the Dave & Buster August 20th event from 11 AM to 4 PM.
