May 18th-20th HOF Midland Qualifier
This past weekend the Texas Elite traveled to Midland, Texas in quest of a Hall Of Fame berth to play in the Annual Summer Showcase Classic in Oklahoma City, OK. With a 5th Place Finish by the Elite and a star studded field of most of the states premiers clubs in attendance the Midland Qualifier proved itself to be a powerful showcase.
Saturday morning the Elite came out ready to play as they run ruled the West Texas Power in just three innings. Next up the Elite hung on to a 2-1 win over the '92 San Antonio Bombers. Saturday's third game of the day the Elite shut out the '92 Texas Travelers 4-0. Saturday's final game for the Elite was a disappointing 3-0 loss to the Rapid Fire who finished the tournament undefeated.
Sunday morning the Elite returned to face the '92 Austin Stars. Despite getting 9 base hits the Elite miscued on several offensive and defensive opportunities giving up a 5-2 loss.
Overall for the tournament the Elite had a record of 3-2 and a team batting average of .336 and an on base percentage of .465 the Elite finished in 5th place.
Wednesday, June 6
ASA Qualifier Longveiw, TX
June 1st-3rd the Texas Elite traveled to Longview, TX to play in the 14U ASA National Qualifier. Pool play began Friday night with the Elite losing a close one 3-2 with the Texas Flames from College Station. Next up the Elite rebounded with a more favorable showing defeating the '93 Texas Glory 4-1. As luck would have it the Elite were matched up with the '92 Texas Travelers to start the dreaded 8AM bracket play Saturday morning. The Elite got off to a good start scoring in the first inning but gave up 5 runs in the second ending in a disappointing 6-2 loss. Next up Saturday the Eite shut out the Austin Connection 5-0. In the final game of the evening the Elite despite having home team advantage suffered a last inning loss 3-2 to the '93 Travelers.
June 15th the Texas Elite will play up in age at the USFA 16U State Championship in Mesquite, TX.

The game scores for the two day event went as follows: Saturday (9-0) win over Texas Fusion, (2-4) loss to Texas Glory, (15-0) win over Blaze, (3-2) win over Shadows, (7-0) win over Texas Fusion, Sunday (12-4) win over Fastpitch America, (3-1) win over Texas Glory, and (6-1) win again over Texas Glory for the championship.
Congratulations to Emma Eichman and Madison Buckley for there fence clearing home runs.
The ’92 Texas Elite will travel to Wichita Falls July 6th to participate in the 2007 14U ASA Regional Championship, and will also be in Normal, IL July 29th through August 5th for the ASA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

July 20th Texas Elite Undefeated in College Showcase

Friday play began at Wilson Creek Sports Complex with a 1-1 tie with Waco's Centex Buzz 18U. In Friday’s evening game the Elite were matched up against a tough Diamond Dolls 18U team resulting in a scoreless 0-0 game. While getting off to a slow start in Saturday's first game against Oklahoma's Adrenaline 18U the Elite hung on to get the win 3-2. With every intention of a sit down lunch immediately following the game the Elite before even completing their orders were summons back to fill in at Craig Ranch for a late arriving Gold team. With only 15 minutes to get to the park the Elite hurried back to Craig Ranch to find out that they would be playing the Texas Peppers 18U Gold team on the Stadium Field. With all of the enthusiasm of a championship game the excitement attracted several college coaches to the stadium as the Elite defeated the Peppers 2-1. The rest of the showcase ended with the Elite defeating Houston’s Texas Starz Black 3-0, Fort Worth’s Batbuster’s Boyd 9-0, and Tulsa’s Diamondbacks 4-3.
Overall for the Showcase the Texas Elite had a record of 5 wins, 2 ties, and o losses outscoring their opponents 22 to 7. Team batting average was .357 with an on base percentage of .565.
