All the umpires who are calling games are doing so as volunteers. They have given up their time to ensure that all the games are properly covered. Traveling at their own expense and providing their own equipment. These ladies and gentlemen have spent hours, if not years, learning the rules and the proper application of these rules. District 7 is fortunate to have some of the BEST UMPIRES in Little League. The next time your at a game, surprise the umpires by thanking them. They will not be expecting it, but they will appreciate it.

Texas District 7 Tournament Ground Rules
Texas District 7 Little League Baseball
Tournament Ground Rules

1. Managers will present team affidavit to game director ½ hour prior to game time.
2. Manager will present game line-up to game director ½ hour prior to game time.
3. Coin toss to determine home team will be conducted ½ hour prior to game time.
4. Each team will provide 2 game balls to the game director ½ hour prior to game time.  It may be necessary for teams to supply additional baseballs during the game.
5. Team traveling the longest distance will call the toss.
6. Home team will occupy the first base dug out.
7. Visiting team will take infield practice first, for 10 minutes beginning 25 minutes prior to game time. If possible.
8. Home team will take infield practice second, for 10 minutes beginning 15 minutes prior to game time. If possible.
9. No game will start with less than 1 and ½ hour to curfew unless both managers agree. This applies only if there is room to extended the tournament.
10.  Managers, coaches and players shall not leave dugouts or field of play without permission from the umpire or game director.
11. Managers will be responsible to obtain affidavits and check pitching records after game is complete.
12. Managers and coaches will be properly attired. No cut off jeans, Tee shirts with alcoholic or tobacco advertisements, etc.
13. Players will wear uniforms properly. Hats forward, shirts tucked in etc.
14. No Pins or Jewelry.
15. All decisions concerning the schedule, times, locations etc. rest with the district staff. Do not question our decisions. Except in case of ground rule 9.
