Welcome to the Texas Thunder's web site!!! We are a 14U Select All Tournament Traveling Baseball Team out of NE Tarrant County. We are dedicated to excellence in everything we do, both on and off the field. We will be both good winners as well as courteous losers. We will demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.

Super Series 14 U "National" Texas State Champions!
Texas Thunder capture the State Championship with a 8-4 Victory in Waco!

The Texas Thunder finished Runner-ups to the Super Series National Division Champions the EJ Sports Titans from California 3-2.The Thunder had an awesome tournament from several players over the week in a Hot Peoria Arizona~
The Thunder had lost to the Titans earlier in bracket play so the Thunder had to beat the Titans twice to achieve their goal of becoming National Champions~
Colton Cromer was on the hill and pitched an outstanding game allowing just 7 hits in 7 innings~ and not allowing an earned run. The Titans got their 3 runs in the first 3 innings after some early Thunder errors~
Only thing was the Thunder could only manage 6 hits of their own and couldnt get the tying run across the plate with the bases loaded in the 6th and 2 mne on and 1 out in the bottom of the 7th~.

| SS 'NATIONAL QUALIFIED' |
|
The Texas Thunder Baseball team competed last weekend in McKinney in the SS 'National' World Series Qualifier.
This was the Thunder's first attempt at the 'National' level in SS competition. The Thunder were 4th seed going into Sunday's bracket play after goign 2-0 in pool play and finished 4th over all after a long hard struggle and battle and 4-3 loss to the eventual tournament winner the Dallas Yankees to receive their qualification to the SS 'National' World Series in Perioa, Arizona in July.
Pool Games:
Tx Thunder vs Express Baseball: Thunder wins 7-5 in a cold and windy game that the Thunder held 3 different 2 run leads..
Tx Thunder vs Texas Champs; Thunder win 5-1 in a excellent pitched game by 3 Thunder pitchers.. and timely hitting.. 4th seed
Bracket:
Tx Thunder vs McKinney Mavericks; Thunder win an ugly game 11-7
Tx Thunder vs Express Baseball; Thunder scored 10 runs in the bottom of the 1st to put the game away and crusied to a 14-4 4th inning run rule.
Semi-Finals
Tx Thunder vs Dallas Yankees; Thunder lead the entire game 3-0 behind a great pitching performance by Blake Gipsona nd some timely hits and walks.. but the Yankees loaded the bases in the bottom of 6th with no outs and then on two wild pitches and 3 bunts scored 4 runs the last with 2 outs to end the Thunders run on Sunday! 4-3 Yankees~
Great tournament over all~ The Thunder's over all Spring 2007 record is 10-3-1
and over all from last fall~ 14-4-1...

The Triple Crown Metro-Plex Season Opener was here and there are about 200+ teams total in this tournament and 19 teams in our bracket alone.. 19 of the top Major teams in Texas. Triple Crown Results The Texas Thunder takes a 5th place finish out of 19 teams and has qualified for the "Triple Crown Division 1 World Series" The Thunder played all of their games with excitment and grit and never gave up even if behind or tied.. The boys showed character and sportsmanship even in the most adverse moments.. Please be very proud of them and what they accomplished this past weekend.. Our next tournament is March 24th in Desoto, a Super Series American Tournament 54/80. This will more than likely be our only 54/80 tournament this season.. So we need to be prepared to win, this and get our qualification for Phonenix completed..

The Texas Thunder 14U Baseball Club took 2nd Place in the Super Series 'American' Double Play Classic in Desoto Texas last weekend..
The boys battled hard all weekend trying to over come injuries and errors..
With the boys always stepping up at the right time in the right situation to snatch 'Victory' away from 'Defeat'! This worked well all weekend until the finals against the Midland Colts who were on fire with the bats, we threw 3 different pitchers at them to slow them down with out much luck..
The Thunder played in 6 games this weekend in 2 days and trailed in everyone of them and our only loss�was in the finals..
This team showed so much character and guts and dive it was awesome to watch and I had a front row seat!
I am very proud of each of the guys!!
Couple of things... tournament MVP to me is Trey Arnett for playing with half a body all weekend and giving everything he had!!!
It may have been a costly loss to the Colts as Colton went down with a arm injury in the 2nd inning.. With alot of prayers and hope we wish for the best news possible no matter what that is..
Injuries are part of the game.. we all know that.. and we have had our fair share this year... but keep the faith in the team and in 'God' we will be fine..
