The Maine Terriers is proud to announce that Mark Boulier, the coach of the defending state champion U-14 girls team, has been selected as the 2007-08 SoccerMaine Premier Coach of the Year.  We are very proud of Mark for his accomplishments on and off the field.  Congratulations to Mark and the team! 

 

A tough weekend for the good guys.  On the bright side, the U-16 Girls won Bracket B by playing Odyssey Sport to a 0-0 tie, and will compete vs. the Bracket A runner-up at 2 pm at Deering High School on May 17. Our U-16 and U-18 boys teams will not advance to the State Cup semis unfortunately.  Tremendous efforts by both groups and we are very proud of you!

High school graduation is fast approaching, and we have the following players committing to college soccer programs at this time:

The Maine Terriers Soccer Club wishes these student/athletes the best in their academic and athletic endeavors.

 

Congratulations to Dan Mallett, the 2008 State of Maine Responsible Coach as selected by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and USYS.  Dan is the coach of our 2-time defending State Champion U-16 girls and the vice-president of the girls program.  He has been associated with the club for the last 9 years.  Kudos Dan!!

 

The next Board meeting will be held at the Winslow Elementary School on Wednesday, May 14 at 6 pm.  All coaches and members are welcome.

Gary Walker returns as the Director of Coaching for the club.

The Maine Terriers Soccer Club operates on a unique and progressive philosophy. We encourage our student-athletes to maintain a well-rounded lifestyle, with soccer serving as a small component of their lives. Family, school and other extra-curricular activities are supported by our coaches and programs. As a result, we have expanded our membership from the Waterville area to Greenville, Bangor, Ellsworth, Dover-Foxcroft, Farmington, Lincolnville and Topsham. The Maine Terriers Mission Statement is: It Is the mission of the Maine Terriers Soccer club to build in our young athletes the technical skills, tactical understanding, strength of character, and team concepts essential to compete effectively within the framework of family, school, and community. By upholding our code of ethics athletes, parents and coaches will further aspire to emphasize sportsmanship by demonstrating grace and modesty in winning and courage in defeat.
