Two-time Class 4A state singles champion Alex O'Neal of Hayden and 6A runner-up Sheri Olivier of Washburn Rural headline the All- City girls tennis team, which is based on performances in the city tournament.
O'Neal, a junior, won her second straight state title last Saturday in Emporia, leading Hayden to a second-place team finish in 4A. Olivier, also a junior, won city, Centennial League and 6A regional championships before finishing second in the state meet. Olivier led the Junior Blues to a second-place team finish.
O'Neal is Hayden's lone representative on the 15-member All-City team, while Washburn Rural has all of its top six on the squad.
Joining Olivier on the All-City team for Rural are singles player Avery Clifton and doubles players Laura Marshall, Cassie Edwards, Laura Caby and Cat Huang.
Topeka West, which tied for fourth in the 5A state meet, has four players on the All-City team, doubles players Ellen Dicus and Annie Doole and singles players Shannon Johnston and Teri Hopkins.
Rounding out the All-City squad are Shawnee Heights doubles players Erika Lucero and Kirsten Ford and Topeka High doubles players Elise Bruns and Susanna Crandall.

ELISE BRUNS, Topeka High - A senior, Bruns teamed with Susanna Crandall to finish third in No. 1 doubles in the city meet. Bruns and Crandall were second in the Centennial League tournament and second in a 6A regional.
LAURA CABY, Washburn Rural - Caby, a junior, teamed up with Cassie Edwards to win the city championship in No. 2 doubles. Caby and Edwards took sixth in the Centennial League meet in doubles and were fourth at regionals.
AVERY CLIFTON, Washburn Rural - A freshman, Clifton was the city champion in No. 2 singles, finished third in the league meet in singles and was third at regionals.
SUSANNA CRANDALL, Topeka High - The Topeka High senior teamed with Elise Bruns to take third in No. 1 doubles in the city meet. Bruns and Crandall were second in the Centennial League tournament and second in a 6A regional.
ELLEN DICUS, Topeka West - A junior, Dicus teamed with Annie Doole to claim the city championship in No. 1 doubles. Dicus and Doole finished third in the league meet, won a regional title and finished sixth in the 5A state meet.
ANNIE DOOLE, Topeka West - Doole, a junior, and Ellen Dicus won the city championship in No. 1 doubles. Dicus and Doole finished third in the league meet, won a regional title and finished sixth in the 5A state meet.
CASSIE EDWARDS, Washburn Rural - A junior, Edwards teamed with Laura Caby to claim the city title in No. 2 doubles. Caby and Edwards took sixth in the Centennial League meet in doubles and were fourth at regionals.
KIRSTEN FORD, Shawnee Heights - The Shawnee Heights senior teamed with doubles partner Erika Lucero to finish fourth in the city meet in No. 1 doubles, fourth in the Centennial meet in doubles, second at regionals and ninth in the 5A state meet.
TERI HOPKINS, Topeka West - A junior, Hopkins finished second in the city in No. 2 singles, fourth in the league meet in singles, won a regional championship and finished ninth at 5A state.
CAT HUANG, Washburn Rural - The Rural senior partnered with Laura Marshall to finish second in the city tournament in No. 1 doubles. Huang and Marshall finished fifth in doubles in the league meet, were third at regionals and took seventh in the 6A state meet.
SHANNON JOHNSTON, Topeka West - Johnston, a junior, finished third in No. 1 singles in the city tournament and sixth in the league meet in singles. She was third at regionals and finished eighth at state.
ERIKA LUCERO, Shawnee Heights - Lucero, a senior, and doubles partner Kirsten Ford finished fourth in the city meet in No. 1 doubles, third in the league meet, second at regionals and ninth in the state meet.
LAURA MARSHALL, Washburn Rural - Marshall, a junior, and Cat Huang teamed up to finish second in the city meet in No. 1 doubles. Huang and Marshall took fifth in the Centennial League meet in doubles, placed third at regionals and seventh in the 6A state tournament.
SHERI OLIVIER, Washburn Rural - Olivier, a junior, was a city, Centennial League and 6A regional champion for the second straight season and finished second in 6A singles after finishing fourth as a sophomore.
ALEX O'NEAL, Hayden - The Hayden junior won the 4A state singles championship for the second straight season. O'Neal was also a regional champion and finished second in city and Centennial League competition.
