Try Outs this Sunday, November 26, 2006 for:
Boys 12's and 13's
Girls 17 and under
Try Outs are held at Palama Gym from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Boys 18 and under try outs to be held Friday, December 1 at Palama Gym from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Please dress in the appropriate attire to try out and bring your own water.
Parents must be present to fill out waiver forms.

Boys 18 & under: 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Girls 16 & under: 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Pre-registration is requested.

Please be prepared to practice and wear the appropiate clothing, shoes, and bring your own water.
There is a $5.00 fee to tryout. Please make checks payable to: Team SideOut Volleyball Club.

** Congratulations also go out to the 17's team for winning the "Sportsmanship" award! Congratulations to Mathew Tanaka, Kolea Kometani, Steven Mitsuyuki, Ryan Gapelu, Corey Amano, Tim Moyer, and Nobu Morimoto. Great Job!
* Congratulations to the Men's team for placing third in the Men's "B" division! A great job to Jacob Gaison who also made all star, Damon Reyes, Clint Maki, Ward Soto, Jeremy Piamonte, Donovan Martinez, Alika Gaison, Glen Klaiber, and Kyle Maki.
14's Tournament
Congratulations for winning the 14's tournament at Waipahu High School. A job well done! Congratulations to Kolea, Steven, Tim, Nobu, Aaron, Shane, and Reece. It was a great final match against Outrigger.
Junior Olympics - Austin, Texas
Congratulations to the team for placing in the Silver Division and coming in a 3 way tie for 13th place out of 30 teams. Congratulations to Alika Gaison, Aaron Amaral, Ikaika Shelton, Glen Klaiber, Kyle Maki, Steve Badua, and Mat Tanaka for a job well done. The experience of the games and the friends that were made are well worth remembering. A special thanks to my aunties, Aunty Poni'ala and Aunty Kanani for helping us while we were in Texas.
We also want to wish Pilipa'a congratulations for winning the Gold! It was a great 3 sets game that they played against South Florida.
Next years Junior Olympics will be held in Louisville, Kentucky. See you all there!

16' & 17's Place 3rd in Haili Tournament
Congratulations to both the 16's and 17's teams for placing 3rd in the Haili Juniors Tournament held in Hilo on March 22nd to the 24th. Both teams played well to overcome several opponents. Great job to both teams for doing their best!

Mens Team Place 2nd in the Haili Tournament
Congratulations to the Mens team for placing 2nd in Haili Tournament. Great job to team captain Jacob Gaison, Damon Reyes, Clint Maki, Sheldon Gaison, Alika Gaison, Aaron Amaral, Ikaika Shelton and Tex Sutter who went down injured in the 2nd set of the very first game of the tournament. Despite an injured Tex, the team overcame the lost and carried on to defeat Molten- White, ODH, and Take One to play in the championship game on Saturday, 03/27. Unfortunately, the team was not successful, but placing 2nd place out of 40 teams is nothing to get down about. Again, Congratulations to a job well done!Wednesday, March 24

Season End
The Coaching staff wants to send a special thank you to all of you who participated this year in making this season successful! We want to wish each and everyone of you the best of luck on your upcoming season for the school year and hope to see all of you then. We hope you had fun during the season and also hope the experience of learning has taught you all to grow in the game.

Aloha State Games
* Congratulations to the "B" Mens Team for receiving Bronze Medals and placing 3rd in the tournament. It was an exhausting day especially to play Kiai 3 times during the tournament. Congratulations go out to team captain-Jacob Gaison, Damon Reyes, Clint Maki, Alika Gaison, Teruo Nagasako, Matt Hashimoto, and Sale Allen! GREAT JOB!
* Team SideOut wants to congratulate Kolohe for winning the Gold and Kiai for winning the Silver.
* Congratulations also go out to the 16's team for a great effort in the tournament.A job well done to Chad Yoshizawa, Jared Taniguchi, Kyle Maki, Ikaika Shelton, Glen Klaiber, Davis Tanaka, and Mitchell Kuga! It was a bummer to have to play the Mens team and to be defeated twice to be eliminated from the tournament. Great win over Palama-Shane's team though. That was a real big boost to win that game!

Junior Olympics-Louisville, Kentucky
Congratulations to the 18's Team for winning the Gold Championships at Louisville,Kentucky! The team went on to defeat Absolute from Arizona for the Gold Championship! The scores were 25-23,22-25,and 24-22. The team was lead by team captain Jacob Gaison who hit the winning kill in the 3rd game. Henry Valiente played an outstanding game to deserve the "most valuable player" on the All Tournament Team, as well as Ryan Gonzales and Kula Tanuavasa who also made the All Tournament Team. Special Congratualions go out to the rest of the team who helped to win the "Gold". Thanks to Stephen Gascon and his great ability to play back row as the libero, Ben Schirmer,Damon Reyes, and Sean Katada for their great contributions to help the team to victory!
Again, Congratualtions on a job well done and for bringing the Gold back home to Hawaii! You all have put Hawaii on the volleyball map!
