TI takes 3rd place in TCS 16U/18U combined tourney in Payson!!

For the second weekend in a row, TEAM INTENSITY battled against older girls and despite a couple tough innings, we showed we can play up against these teams.  The coaches are so proud at how far you have come.

We lost 2 games to a very strong 18u Shockwave team.  One in elimination and one in Semi-finals.  Nothing to be ashamed about.  Compliments came from the Shockwave coach on how much harder we fought them the 2nd time.

Great job putting a 14-2 bashing on the 18u Flagstaff Firestorm.  Our bats we're amazing, amazing, amazing!

The biggest point of the tournament was getting to play PREMIER again for 2nd week in a row in first round of elimination, and guess who takes it this time?  WE DID!  We again played a tough, hard fought, close battle with a quality PREMIER team, and we won in INTERNATIONAL TIE-BREAKER with a walk-off game winning hit by CHELLSEY!  ALLY battled on the mound for 6 strong innings after a hard first inning to allow the come-back!

Payson was fun and the weather was great!  Great weekend TI!

Silver Star awards to (Chellsey, Ashley, Serena, Jessee, and Katie) for this weekend for OBP over .501

SERENA SEED was unbelievable with the bat, going 12/14 on base (yes, with only 1 walk).

TI Rocks in their first ever 16U/18U combined tourney at Rose Mofford!!

In our first 18U tournament ever we finished 5th, taking 2nd seed in pool play, which was a topping on the cake.  It was also Kacee's birthday speaking of cake and fun was had by all (including bad singing).

We played great ball, but lost an extremely hard fought close battle in the last inning to a quality PREMIER team.  Our only other loss came against the 18u Heatwave.

We rock!!!!!

Congrats TI you also qualified for TCS nationals finishing 3rd this weekend.  Great work!!!!!

Way to open up 2009 !

2009 season has a sad note.  Emily has decided to take a break from club ball.  We will miss you Emily!!!!  Take care and good luck in school ball!!!!!

We opened up 2009 with a bang. Our team is now showing it's strength, playing great ball in the January 10th TCS Cool January tournament.  Great defense and loads of hitting by the whole team.  We went 3 and 1, outscoring our opponents 35 to 16.  Team Intensity put together 42 HITS.  We won an international tie-breaker putting together 6 runs in that 1 inning to make it to the semifinals.  We had to battle the Lady Cats in the semi's after having to hurry over there.  After a slow start, getting behind, we almost rallied back in the last inning, with 6 hits in a row!  Way to fight and way to never give up!  You guys rocked this weekend!  GREAT JOB!

Fun and Games with TI

Wednesday, April 22
WOW

WOW!!!!  This weekend we finished 5th in a tie for the USSSA Easter Egg Bunt.  Even though we did not make it to the show it was a hard fought battle to 5th.

Our first game the girls dominated with their hitting and pitching.  You all did great.  The 6th inning we were out of gas and had a few errors that cost us the game.  Not worries ladies.  In the first elimination game everyone came out to play and did a great job against the Titans to send them home for the day.  We came up a little short in the final game but it was a great ball to watch.  Girls you did your family proud this weekend.  Up next is the show.  Keep up the great work.  We have 3 weeks till the next tourney.  be ready to play.

I want to thank the Kelly Family for coming out to help us this weekend.  You are great.  Nice work on the book Snoopy!  We could not have won without you!

Team Intensity 14U looking to add 1 player

We are looking to add 1 player to our team. We are looking for a SPEEDY All Around Utility player with a great glove and a great attitude. We are maintaining a 10 person roster thru the remainder of the Spring 2009 season to ensure each of the 10 girls get tons of playtime.

We have many tournaments lined up here in the valley in both the "A" and
"B" level as we are transitioning to "A" level.

We are traveling to Colorado for the Colorado Sparkler tournament over 4th of July.

If you would like to check us out, please call to schedule a tryout.

Bootcamp announced

Due to lack of participation in this weekends tourney's we have decided it is a great time for another bootcamp!!!!   I know you are excited.  We will start early Sat at 7 and play till 11.  After that we will go back to Joy's(Haylee's) house for hot dogs on the grill and swimming.  Please bring a dish and towel to swim.  We will talk about the Colorado trip.  We are about 34 days away!!!!!  Time is flying.  This bootcamp will also allow the team to gel before state next week that is a go.  See you all on Tuesday!!!

Welcome Chellsey

TI would like to welcome Chellsey "Cha Cha" and her family to our team.  She will be a great asset to the TI family.  Welcome.  You looked good in your first tournament with us!

Sunday, June 7
Bootcamp

Thanks to Joy and Mike for allowing us to use their house for a Bootcamp after party.  The pool was a nice cool down after a long day of work.  You all did great.  We will be ready to show our Bootcamp skillz at State next week.

Colorado Update:

New pins are in and they look marvelous.  For all attending the sparkler each child will need the pins on the Monday of the tourney to trade our pins for others.  Each girl will get 68 pins to trade.  Cost is $100.  There was a cost break since we bought 750 and paid early it saved $5 per family.  I will bring the pins to the scrimmage on Tuesday and once paid you will get your 68 pins.  It is coming soon.
