Claud Pritchard a very good friend of TCE will be here from Boston to do the final try-outs.  Claud is one of the best trainers on the east coast.  He has a resume that speaks for its self. Not only is he a professional trainer for the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, but he has done so much more for the youth in Boston.  Coach Claude Pritchard helped direct one of the nation's premier AAU Boys Basketball Programs for 17 years, the Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC). The BABC has captured 10 National AAU Championships. Coach Pritchard along with the BABC Founder and Head Coach Leo Papile, has produced a bevy of talented players from all over the area. Coach Pritchard also adds an international element, as he coached the 2004 Boston Hurricanes to a National American Chinese Basketball Association (NACBA) National Title. Presently, Claude has started his own AAU program which won the USSSA 2006 National Championship last year. Claude is also the tournament supervisor and event consultant for the BayBall Classic Invitational, the biggest high school boy's basketball Christmas tournament in the nation, which is held in Delaware.  So get ready kids you will be taught by one of the best.

Ted Blunt President of City Council along with City Council members Hanifa Shabazz and Norman Griffiths honors Team Crossover Elite for a job well done!!!!

City Council President Ted Blunt along with City Council members Hanifa Shabazz and Norman Griffiths honors Team Crossover Elite for doing a wonderful job with Wilmington Delaware's youth.  On August 21, 2008 TCE was recognized by the City Council for all they have done for the city of Wilmington and its surrounding neighbors.  Under the leadership of CEO and President Robert Moore, Director Shenae Thompson, General Manager Acey Barnes, Coach Naim Ali and Fundraising Director Team Crossover Elite has done an excellent job working with our youth throughout our area.  Robert Moore has shown his love and the true meaning of "doing it for the kids".  They are a non-profit organization and Robert has gone through a lot financially, dealing with family issues and his own health issues but still has come up with the strength to make things happen for TCE.  He has a saying that he tells the kids all the time "I will not tell you anything that I can't do for you, life is about commitment and I am committed to you, the less you say and the more you do the more respect they will have for you"  With the help of his staff he has developed one of the best AAU programs out there in just their first year.  He is starting a foundation as well called, "On The Court? Or In Court! ", which will work very hard to show kids how not to become a statistic within every category out there.  Robert Moore and the kids he has mentored throughout this first season have done tremendous things for this organization both individually and as a team, and on August 21st TCE was recognized with a Plaque from the 104th Wilmington City Council for their efforts.  His AAU team went to the Madison Square Garden in NYC for a championship tournament and came in first and second place in their age division. They have won 6 championships so far!!!!!  This program is just getting start and as you can see has achieved a lot.  If you would like to help out in anyway please contact TCE via email at teamcrossoverelite@yahoo.com or by phone at (215) 847-5199 or (215) 669-1189.

Look out for TCE they are the "NEXT GENERATION".

"What a way to end the 1st season" Champions Again!!!!!

This weekend was like every other weekend.  TCE wanted to win it all.  Going back to Virginia Beach to defend their title was all they had in mind.  there first game was at 11:00am.  Jumping out the Vans TCE went right on the floor.  Not having anytime to warmup, was not a good thing and it showed.  It was a tight game but the level of play Team Crossover Elite is known for playing was not there.  They end up losing the game by one point.  They were so determine to come back and make a statement, that they started to make a lot of mistakes in the second game which lead to another lost.  TCE is 0-2 with little hope of making it to the Championship game.

Sunday was a new day, the team had a long night to think about what they need to do to change their play on the the court. Game time is 2:00pm and they were ready.  They were in the losers bracket and if they lost there season would end on a not so good note.  Shalier Sullivan center for TCE was determine that this would not be the way they would go home.  "We have to come out and play Darnell Hammomd" would say.  Lets show them TCE basketball.  What a turn around performance.  Everyone played there part.  Coming of the bench, Aaron Wright help lead TCE to a great win.  We still have work to do Coach Ali said.  There second game of the day would be the game that would take them to the championship if they win.  Scoring 20 points and about 11-12 rebounds Shalier Sullivan put the team on his back.  He was a monster on the boards.  His teammate Davherl Crosby was a big help, you can call him clean-up man because thats what he did.  Jamar Mundy and Shawn Mitchell both were on top of their game.  With this great team effort they were on their way to the championship game which would be a tough task.  They played DC Hoyas a team from DC who won the championship in VA Beach in July.  They have been waiting on this matchup for a while now.  What a game this was; you could say two of the top teams on the East Coast was going at each others neck.  TCE jumped on them, with that firs still in their eyes the were not going home without leaving everything they had on the floor.  We just started something big Acey Barnes would say General Manager for Team Crossover Elite "these dudes wanted to see what we were made of and we showed them" he said.  Lead by Jamar Mundy, Davherl Crosby, Shalier Sullivan, Darnell Hammond and Shawn Mitchell they all put in work. Their bench also was great, this was a team win and a great one at that. TCE is just starting watch out!

This makes their 5th Championship in their first year.  WOW!!! Go Team Crossover Elite!!!

TCE Win's BIG in NYC at the Garden! "Road to the Garden"

Madison Square Garden what a place to play ball in as a youth. A once in a life time experience. Team Crossover Elite had only one thing in mind and that's winning it all.  The day started off for them in luxury.  Traveling to the Garden in style.  A 57 passenger Bus chartered by TCE took family and friends to help bring home the victory.

The 12u were up first.  The game started off rough for them.  They were not able to get into the game.  Laqwin Stewart (aka Stewart Big) kept the score close.   With 7 steals in the game and driving to the basket with the heart of a lion he was unbelievable.  They lost the game but didn't give up.  Finishing 2nd is not bad at all, but playing in the Garden these kids will always remember that.  The 14u was ready, they wanted this trophy more than anything.  They wanted to prove to the State of Delaware and all the people that said they couldn't do it that they could win anywhere.  Lead by the great defense of Darnell Hammond,Team Crossover Elite came together to win this tournament.  "defense brings offense" said Coach Ali and he was right.  Shawn Mitchell had 5 steals which turned into 10 points.  Great defense by Shalier Sullivan, Jamar Mundy and Tim Massado added to this great TEAM effort.  It was a close game but they held onto the win.    Darnell Hammond was MVP of the game.  TCE - Team Crossover Elite is the Next Generation.  For pictures of this excellent game please click onto http://www.njsportsmedia.com/

Team Crossover Elite WINS BIG this weekend. Playing In Madison Square Garden July 16 for the Championship!!

What a team!  Doing it again showing that they can play with the best of them.  This past weekend was no difference.  Team Crossover Elite went up to Mahwah NJ to play in the Road to the Garden basketball tournament.  The 12u was up first and starting off the right way.  Winning a close game by 1 point at the end 12u kept their cool and came out on top.  Lead by their 3 stars, Maurice Boyer,  Laqwin Stewart and Dashawn Dorsett they poured it on.  Coming off the bench and giving his team a spark Shakie Walker AKA (the lighting rod) hit a 3 pointer that gave them the boost they needed.   They all played well this weekend and they will be playing in New York at the Garden THE WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS ARENA.  But there is more. 14U play a great tournament as well.  Lead by Shawn Mitchell, Jamar Mundy, Shalier Sullivan, Davherl Crosby and Tim Massado.  They had to play tough, play smart, play together and that's what they did.  Knowing they could not lose, they were determine to go undefeated.  "We have to prove a point"  Shawn said!!  AND thats what they did.  They can play with the best of them.  There bench was great and all five starts played very well together.  They did there job and came out on top.  Way to go TCE.  See you at the Garden on Wednesday.
