WELCOME:     

Welcome to the home of the Tallahassee Merchants. We are a 10U Travel Fastpitch Softball Team from Tallahassee, FL. We compete in ASA, NSA, USFA, and USSSA tournaments across the Southeast.   

Ocala March Madness:

The Ocala March Madness was a huge success for our 10U 97' Merchants!  Even tornado warnings could not keep us  from traveling down to Ocala to get ready to compete for the weekend.  The girls played in 40 mph winds on Saturday to secure the number one seed in the silver bracket.  We had a wonderful time Saturday night with our team building get together (along with the pillow fight!!).   On Sunday we won our first elimination game which put us in the championship game.  We are proud of how hard they fought and never gave up!  They never dropped the rope!

Early Bird Classic:

The Merchant 97' Early Bird Classic was a huge success due to a great deal of teamwork.  We met our goal for the tournament.  I personally want to thank our team mom,Cherie, for organizing everything, Tommy Garner for putting the tournament together, and Patti Hilaman for organizing and getting all of the sponsors.  I want to thank all of our parents who worked all weekend long at the tournament.  Every parent contributed in some way; whether it was a connection in getting that wonderful pulled pork, the t-shirts, baking/cooking, and doing grunt work.  It's amazing what we can accomplish when it doesn't matter who gets the credit!  Great job everyone!!!!  Below are some highlights from the tournament!  

Congratulations to the 12U Bullets for winning the their bracket. Congratulations also to the 10U Crestview Crush for winning the 10U bracket.

Hold The Rope!

If you were hanging from a cliff 2,000 feet aboveground who would you want to hold the rope for you. Think about it if you can name one or two people that is not enough. As you look around for others who may hold the rope for you, think about whom you would hold the rope for. If it is one or two people that is definitely not enough. We should be willing to hold the rope for whoever needs us to.  BE THE TEAMMATE/ PERSON THAT EVERYONE KNOWS YOU WILL HOLD THE ROPE FOR THEM!!

GOALS:     

The Coaches are dedicated to provide a competitive environment for the players to improve their skills through hard work, encouragement, and positive reinforcement. We enjoy watching these young girls develop character, confidence, and mature as a team through the game of softball.  Not only are we helping to develop young athletes, but also, most importantly develop young adults that will contribute in society with self motivation, respect, and a winning attitude towards life.  We are thankful and honored that the parents of our team trust us with their daughters.  Thank You!
