Tryouts are on as scheduled. TSA is Monitoring Field Conditions for Saturdays Tryouts. Any changes due to field conditions will be posted on this website.  We will look at the fields one last time Saturday morning any changes will be posted by 9:30 AM. Current plan is to conduct tryouts in the outfields and at the batting cages if the infields are too muddy.

Late Online Registration is closed. Send registration requests to timbergrovesportsassoc@gmail.com a limited number of slots may be available in each division.  A late registration fee of $20 starts Monday 2/5. We are looking for tball managers so we can add extra teams (14 to 16) and accomodate extra players, let us know if you are interested.

Other Dates of Interest

·       Tryouts – 11 AM, Feb 11th (rain date - Feb 12^th 1PM, Alt Feb 17th 11AM). Pony is 12:30PM. All players new to TSA, moving up a division (7,9,11,13 yrs old by April 30th), or those selecting not to returning to last years spring team need to try out (fall teams are different than the Spring).

·       Players notified about team selection and practice days - No later than - Feb 19th

·       Feb 19th 1PM - Players Clinic Ages 7 and Up (Run by Lamar HS coaches) Cost $10

·      Feb 20^th - Practices begin this week. Coach will notify you of the days (TSA mandates no more than three official events per week.  Events are practices or games)

·      March  10^th thru 18^th : HISD Spring Break

·      March 11^th  Daylight savings time

·      March 24^th – Opening Day Ceremony, Pictures, Carnival and Games

·      Easter Weekend April 6^th-8^th – no baseball events

·      May 5^th – end of regular season

·      May 7^th thru 13^th – Playoffs (if applicable per division)

·      May 19^th – Closing Ceremonies

General Information

·      Practices occur Weekdays and Saturdays.  T-ball normally practices twice per week and all other divisions practice three times per week prior to the start of the season.

·      Players are guaranteed 10 games.

·      Practice times and days are selected by the coach based on field availability. Practices normally start after 5:30PM

·     Games occur during the week at 6 PM and all day Saturday. Teams normally play 2 games per week.

·     Sundays are reserved for rainout reschedules

·     Playing age is as of April 30th, 2012.  It is TSA policy to not allow exceptions to this rule.

·     Equipment

o    Players should have their own glove

o    Batting helmets and bats are provided by the league, but many players purchase their own helmets and bats.  For safety reasons, helmets with protective face cages are required for all players 4-10 yrs old.

o    Catching equipment is provided by the league.

·     Division Ages

o    T-ball (Shetland): 4-6 yrs

o    Coach Pitch (Pinto): 7-8 yrs

o    Kid Pitch

§  Mustang: 9-10 yrs

§  Bronco: 11-12 yrs

§  Pony: 13-15yrs (players that are 15yrs old are not allowed to pitch)

Sponsorship Opportunities

·         Spring Baseball Team Sponsorship - Cost $400, Includes sponsor name on the back of each jersey and a sponsorship plaque at the end of the season. Add and outfield banner for an additional $200.

·         Outfield Banner (12 months) - Cost $400. Includes banner with sponsor provided design.
