Concessions/Team Party Chair : Responsible for the purchase of supplies, set up, working and clean up of all home meet concession operations. Schedule shift workers at each home meet with assistance from Volunteer Coordinator. Coordinate with Treasurer to count funds from concessions following home meets. Plan and execute the end of the season party and meal. Make a Report to Board at meetings
Fundraisers/Sponsorship Chair: Announce sponsors at each home meet. Work with sponsors in banner design and coordinate with Treasurer. Acquire sponsor logos for back of t-shirts and turn over to T-shirts committee. Responsible for ordering and delivery of any promised goods to sponsors. Hang banners at pool. Arrange for door prizes for the end of season party. Coordinate with the secretary to obtain heat sheet ads and personal ads for swimmers at the team registration. Run raffles/ silent auctions at home meet. Also, responsible for setting up dates, times, and locations for fundraisers as well as executing and distributing information to swimmers. Make report to Board at Meetings.
**Referee: Has full authority over all officials. Makes the final decision on any questions regarding stroke or rule violation. The referee signals for the start of all races and keeps a written record account of the meet including finish places and disqualifications. Must have one year of experience as a stroke and turn official. Make report to Board at meetings.
**Starter is equipped with an electronic starting device. The starter announces all races and signals the start of the race. Must signal false starts to stop races.
**Stroker and Turn Officials: look for stroke and/or turn violations. They walk up and down the pool watching the swimmers on their side of the pool. They signal any violations to the referee and write the dq on the card.
**Computer Clerk: Sets up meet information on the computer and does exchanges meet entry information with the other team, runs a cardless meet. Computer knowledge necessary.
At Large Board Members get a registration Discount- First child counts as second child!!Social Chair: Responsible for setting up and organizing team pep rallies and social events.
Operations Director: Responsible for proper training & recruiting of stroke & turn officials, starters, timers, scribes & clerk of course. Responsible for meet set up and take down at pool for all home meets and coordinating all equipment needed and set up for all away meets. Make report to Board at Meetings.
Volunteer Coordinator: Responsible to secure all timers, stroke & turn officials needed for all meets. Call to get volunteers for each meet. Volunteers are needed for the following positions: timers, scribes, concession workers for home meets, runner and water person for volunteers. Maintain a schedule of parent volunteers who worked at all meets including divisionals. Give this report to the Treasurer at divisionals so the Treasurer may prepare and refund non-participation parent volunteer monies to parents who worked enough based upon the Executive Board recommendations.
Ready Bench Clerk: Coordinates and trains volunteers for the ready bench. Requires prior ready bench knowledge or NWAL training.
Clerk of Course works with coaches before the meet to scratch swimmers and reseed relays. The clerk of course is also responsible for organizing all out going and incoming paper work for ready bench, timers, and officials. Also, responsible for verifying correct computer input and storage or all meet paperwork.

We need Team Sponsors and You get a registration discount
As you know, the team works on a limited budget and we have a few needs for this season to make the team more successful. We are offering discounts to swimmers finding sponsorships for the 2010 team. Our sponsorship needs can be fulfilled with either cash or equipment donations. We will accept goods that can be auctioned or raffled as well. All sponsorships donations must be turned in to the swim team board by May 4, 2010. The guidelines the swim team board agreed on are as follows: Sponsorship of $50 or more in cash or documented value products = $10 registration discountSponsorship of $100 or more cash donation = $20 registration discount.Sponsorship of $250 or more cash donation = $40 registration discount
