My Site News: Player's Code of Conduct

Player's Code of Conduct
By playing baseball in the Teaneck Southern Little League, you agree to act in a way that contributes to a fun learning baseball experience for all. We offer the following as a set of expectations for our players’ behavior:

I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players coaches and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.

I will attend every practice and game that I can, and will notify my coach if I cannot.

I will do my best to listen and learn from my coaches.

I will expect to receive a fair and equal amount of playing time.

I will treat my coaches , other players, officials and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.

I deserve to have fun during my baseball experience and will alert my parents and coaches if it stops being fun!

I deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and expect adults to refrain from their use at all youth sports events.

I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it is important to me.

I will do my very best in school.

I will remember that youth baseball is an opportunity to learn and have fun.

I understand that if I use foul or abusive language or gestures to any other player, coach or umpire I WILL be ejected from a game.

I understand that fighting is an automatic ejection from a game.

I understand that if I an ejected from a game I am automatically suspended from the next game.

I understand that if I am ejected from two games I will be required to appear before the Division Director, at which time I may be permanently suspended.

I will treat co-players, coaches, umpires and fans with respect.

I will not propagate slanderous or hurtful gossip

I will not taunt, yell at or in any way try to distract players on the opposing team.

I will shake hands with the opposing team after the game.
