Friday, July 6Great Warm Up for the World
After a trip to Knoxville for the State Tournament, with mixed returns, the boys Thundered into Donelson for the World Series Warm Up. Warm up they did! The boys walked through this tournament undeafeted. Now on to the World Series in Kansas City.

Thunder takes a 12u win!
The boys decided to jump up and try a 12u tournament this weekend. They won the AA division! Way to go boys!!

Mazzone Tournament - What an experience!
Wow, what a time! This tournament was an incredible experience. The boys got to enjoy a Braves' game together Friday night. On Saturday they started out with a bang beating Talons Baseball from Aniston, Alabama. Saturday afternoon we faced our first Georgia Major team, The Georgia Crush. We almost won that one. Crush scored the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning. Way to hang in there boys. Sunday started off with another win against the North Georgia Eagles. We made it into the top 8 bracket (NL) and got to play our second Georgia Major team, East Cobb Braves. We lost this one but not without a fight. They held us scoreless until the top of the 5th when we brought 2 runs across. Ultimately we finished 5th out of 16 teams. Of the four teams that finished higher than us 3 were classified Major teams. Another great showing by the Thunder!

Thunder wins Mt Juliet Rotary Tournament
Way to go boys on another great tournament! The boys went undefeated in another tournament. They are getting better every tournament. Last weekend we prepared by playing the Knoxville Fire ( and winning) and playing a 12u AAA team twice. They almost beat them the second time proving to themselves that they have what it takes. This tournament showed the improvement from playing some very strong teams. Now we look forward to our trip to Atlanta.

World Series Here We Come!
Way to go boys!!! The boys had a wonderful tournament this weekend. They went 5-0 and took first place. By doing so they have EARNED their berth into the World Series in Overland Park, Kansas this summer. They are very proud of their play this weekend. They proved that they can come from behind to win several times. Heart attack kids!! Watch out KC here we come.

A step in the right direction.
Way to go boys! A third place finish out of 8 teams. We are definitely moving in the right direction. More hard work and dedication and we'll continue to see improvement. Keep it up.

2007 Season Under Way
Our 2007 Season is under way. So far we have had some highlights and low points, but the good news is we are getting to play baseball together another year. Stay posted for more and more highlights as we continue to knock some of the rust off and really get things started.

Work Day a Success
Work Day Feb 2007 was a huge success. The Thunder boys and parents put in a hard days work and turned our practice field into something to be proud of. Now all we need is warm day so we can hit the dirt. Our next Mission(according to Coach Marc).......Build that Mound!!!
Maybe this is a case of "Build it and they will come." :)
