Rock-It Baseball Academy Clinics - August 29-30th

In an effort to enhance our player development program, Tri-Lakes Little League and Rock-It Baseball Academy are offering a 2 day, 6 hour baseball fundamentals clinic on Saturday August 29th  and Sunday August 30th. Each day will consist of a 3 hour session for the Rookie (~7-9 yrs) and Majors (~10-12 yrs) levels. The clinic is designed by Coach Kris Sparks with Rock-It Baseball Academy and covers the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting. The clinic offers skills training to help players retain what they’ve learned through fun and effective drills. For more information on Rock-It Baseball Academy or to register, please visit their web site at http://www.rockitbaseball.org/tlll.html

The cost for the clinic is only $25 per player (a $75 value) and is an excellent way to have your son or daughter get a leg up on skills development.

2010 Season
We're taking volunteers now for next season and beyond (especially among you T-Ball and Farm parents--the FUTURE of the League)

NEW SEASON DATES FOR 2010

The Board has changed TLLL season dates to 1 May - 31 Jun.

  • T-Ball, FARM and 9 - 10 Minors will begin season play 1 May 2010.
  • 9-10 Majors, 11-12 Div and Juniors will begin in Apr to accomodate interleague play.

This shift will allow for better weather (hopefully) for most of our players and families and will allow additional flexibility with field scheduling. Details to follow soon, with a 2010 calendar that will include clinics for players and coaches in February and March, an indoor tryout, practice time in April, and additional practice time throughout the season.

12 Year Old TLLL All Stars Post Season Update

The TLLL 12 year old All Stars have a lot to be proud of in the post season. In seven games, they posted a 5-2 record.

Sat  (7/11) TLLL wins 15-0  vs CYRA
Sun (7/12) TLLL loses 7-6   vs Colo Spgs
Mon (7/13) TLLL wins 11-5  vs High Plains
Tue  (7/14) TLLL wins 18-4 vs Cherry Creek
Wed (7/15) TLLL wins 6-3   vs Academy
Thr  (7/16)  TLLL wins 9-8   vs Colo Spgs (8 innings)
Fri   (7/17)  TLLL loses 7-3  vs. Colo Spgs

This group of boys was a great team that had a fun and really great overall tournament experience. The team came up short the last day and didn't have the same level of intensity - 7 days of top notch baseball in a row is hard even for the pros.  Thanks to everyone for coming out and showing support for all the All Star teams.
