Hauppauge was actually 10W and 2L / Hills West was actually 8W 3L and 1 T.
Hauppauge got screwed out of a league championship on a royal screwing by a Suffolk County Protest Committee. This is the double yellow situation that caused Suffolk County to go a Red Card on the second Yellow Card infraction. No red card was issued at the game but the referee claims that Scott Johnson should have been given a Red Card. The vote at the Protest Meeting was 4-3 against Hauppauge. 3 Suffolk Coaches voted in favor of Hauppauge, 3 ADs and one Soccer Official voted against Hauppauge. Protest lost. A 1-0 victory for Hauppauge against HW was turned into a 1-0 forfeit victory for HW against Hauppauge. Because of this game, 2 yellow cards are no longer given in NYS. Now 1 yellow followed by the RED.
This game will be explained in the Most Memorable 25.
