The scoring leaders from past TCR teams is now ready.This is only a partial list, as I have been researching past teams. I know there may be some omissions so please let me know.Click on the Career Records menu.

2008 Season

TCR tied Charlotte Latin 0-0 and lost 1-2 to Hickory in the Mountain Jamboree on Saturday August 9th. The Rams traveled to the Hickory Jamboree on Saturday August 16th and lost to Mallard Creek 0-1 , Lake Norman 0-1, beat Butler 2-1. TCR opened the regular season with a 5-0 win over Owen. The JV's lost 0-1 to AC Reynolds. The JV's defeated Polk County 2-0. The Varsity traveled to Wilson for 2 games in the Brittany Showcase beating Laney 4-0 and Fike 3-0. Both teams beat Polk County, The JV's won2-0 and Varsity won 3-0. The Varsity traveled to Boone and beat 2-Time defending 4A State Champions Broughton 1-0 in the Mellow Mushroom Tournament. TCR beat West Henderson 7-0, the JV's won 1-0. Both teams defeated Fred T Foard, the Varsity won 6-0 and the JV's won 5-0. TCR opened MAC play with a 10-1 won over Franklin. The JV's won 7-0. TCR beat North Buncombe 8-0 and the JV's won 3-1. TCR beat Asheville 5-2 and the JVs won 1-0. TCR beat Enka 4-0 and the JVs won 3-0. TCR beat AC Reynolds 2-1, the JV's tied 2-2. TCR beat Erwin 7-1 and the JV's won 2-0. TCR beat Tuscola 5-0 and the JV's won 6-0. TCR beat Franklin 7-0 and the JV's won 4-1. TCR beat ST. Stephens 5-0 and the JV's won 3-0. TCR beat North Buncombe 4-0 and the JV's won 3-0. TCR lost 0-1 in OT to Asheville and the JV's won 1-0. TCR beat Enka 8-0 on Senior Night, the JV's won 7-0. TCR beat Forestview 3-2 and the JV's tied 1-1.TCR beat Erwin 9-0 and the JV's won 9-0. TCR beat Tuscola 5-1 to close out the MAC at 11-1-0. TCR beat Watauga 7-1 to close out the regular season 22-1-0. The Jv's won 8-0 to finish 18-1-2 on the season. TCR drew the number 2 seed for the 3A State Playoffs beginning next week.The complete schedule can be found by clicking on the schedule icon to the left.

TCR beat Burns 9-0 in the 1st Round of the 3A State Playoffs. TCR lost to  Forestview 2-1 in the Second Round. TCR finishes the season 23-2-0.

Rams Fall to Forestview in Second Round

The Rams season ended in the second round of the playoffs in a tough battle with Forestview, 2-1.  The lone goal was a PK by John Mitchell.

Roberson outshot the Jaguars 19 to 12, and Ronnie Hreha had 4 saves.

Thanks to Coach Rob Wilcher and his staff, Sean Baker and Rich Larson for guiding this team to a 23-2 season.

Congratulations to every member of the 2008 TCR Men's Soccer Team for a wonderful season full of great memories.  Best of luck to our departing seniors:  Ronnie Hreha, Pablo Souza, Matt Willett, Nathan Canniff-Kuhn, John Dellamea, Harry Sedelbauer, Hagen Johnston, Patrick Brooks, Robert May, Fabian Ramirez, and John Mitchell.

Four TCR Rams from the class of 2009 have signed to continue their soccer careers in college:  Robert May will play at UNC-Charlotte, Ronnie Hreha will play at Lees-McRae, John Mitchell will play at King College and Patrick Brooks will play at Carson-Newman. 

 

On the Ladies side, Ally Lifka, class of 2009 has signed to play soccer at Sweetbriar, and three Lady Rams from the class of 2010 have made verbal commitments:  Katherine Ellis to Georgia, Ashley Vanlandingham to Kentucky, and Nicole Cucchi to Clemson.

Robert May Plays in 2009 Clash of the Carolinas
Robert May represented TCR in the 3rd Annual Clash of the Carolinas on July 11 in Charleston, SC.  The game pits top ranked NC players in the graduating class of 2009 against those from SC.  For the third straight year, the game ended in a tie.  Robert was named the MVP from NC.

Coach Rob Wilcher is proud to announce that two TCR players helped the West All Stars defeat the East 4-1 on July 21 at UNC-Greensboro.  Robert May played in the midfield and Ronnie Hreha played in the goal. The West All Stars team was coached by Patrick Gladys, head coach of AC Reynolds High School.  Both players were also recognized as Academic All Stars for scholastic excellence.

Players of The Game

1- OWEN- TCR started off slowly, but got going in the 2nd half scoring 5 times. John Mitchell had 1 goal and 1 assist. Nathan Canniff-Kuhn, Robert May, Fabian Ramirez, and Trey Hemphill scored goals. Michael O'Brien, Paul Egle, and August Deloach added assists. Ronnie Hreha recorded the shutout on 2 saves. John Dellamea, Hagen Johnston, and Karl Young played well in the back limiting Owen to 3 shots.

2- LANEY- Paul Egle scored 2 goals. Robert May scored 1 goal and added 2 assists. Pablo Souza, in his first game back from injury, scored 1 goal. John Mitchell, who was selected the Sportsmanship winner, had 1 assist and so did Karl Young. Ronnie Hreha recorded the shutout as the defense was stout all night.

3- FIKE- A 3rd shutout in a row by Ronnie Hreha and the TCR defense. Paul Egle scored 2 goals. John Mitchell had a laser beam score from the top of the 18. Robert May, Patrick Brooks, and Pablo Souza contributed assists. Nathan Canniff-Kuhn was selected the Sportsmanship winner by the referees. 

4- POLK- Paul Egle scored 2 goals. Trey Hemphill scored 1 goal. Robert May had all 3 assists. Ronnie Hreha recorded his 4th shutout on 4 saves. The team played very well against always tough Polk.

5- BROUGHTON- Ronnie Hreha was the man in goal, making 10 saves and shutting out the 2-Time defending 4A State Champs. Paul Egle scored on an assist from Robert May with 2 minutes remaining for the win. The defense, led by John Dellamea was awesome. It was a total team effort!!!

6- WEST HENDERSON- Fabian Ramirez had 1 goal and 3 assists. John Mitchell and August Deloach each scored 1 goal and added 1 assist. Paul Egle, Pablo Souza, Michael O'Brien, and Trey Hemphill scored goals. Robert May had 1 assist. Ronnie Hreha had 2 saves, as did Hayes Sperry. TCR recorded their 6th straight shutout.

7- FRED T FOARD- Paul Egle scored 3 goals and had 1 assist. Robert May scored 1 goal and added 3 assists. Freshmen Trey Hemphill and August Deloach scored 1 goal each. John Mitchell had 2 assists. Ronnie Hreha recorded the 7th shutout on 6 saves.

8- FRANKLIN- Pablo Souza scored 3 goals and had 2 assists. Trey Hemphill scored 2 goals. Robert May had 1 goal and 2 assists. Paul Egle and Michael O'Brien added 1 goal and 1 assist each. Nathan Canniff-Kuhn and Eric Brandt scored 1 goal. Robert Graeme, John Mitchell, Griffin Lennox, and August Deloach added assists.

9- NORTH BUNCOMBE- Michael O'Brien scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. Paul Egle scored 2 goals. John Mitchell had 1 goal and 2 assists. Patrick Brooks, John Dellamea, and Harry Sedelbauer scored goals. Nathan Canniff-Kuhn, Eric Brandt,  Pablo Souza, and Matt Willett added assists. The Rams picked up their 8th shutout with Ronnie Hreha making 3 saves, Hayes Sperry making 5 saves, and Steven Corley recording 1 save. 

10- ASHEVILLE- Paul Egle scored 4 goals and had 1 assist. Robert May scored 1 goal and added 1 assist. Pablo Souza had 2 assists and John Mitchell added 1 assist. The entire team played well.

11- ENKA- Robert May scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. Pablo Souza scored 1 goal and added 2 assists. Eric Brandt scored 1 goal and Trey Hemphill had 1 assist. Ronnie Hreha recorded the shutout of the season on 2 saves. Hayes Sperry also made 2 saves and Steven Corley had 1 save. All 23 players contributed to the win. 

12- AC REYNOLDS- Hagen Johnston scored on a long shot over the Keepers head and Robert May scored off a throw-in. John Mitchell had a hand in both goals. Paul Egle flicked on the throw to pick up an assist. The defense played well against a tough ACR attack. 

13- ERWIN- John Mitchell scored 3 goals and added 2 assists. Paul Egle scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. Fabian Ramirez scored 1 goal and added 2 assists. Robert Graeme scored 1 goal. Pablo Souza and Eric Brandt had assists.

14- TUSCOLA- Paul Egle scored 2 goals. Robert May scored 1 goal and had 1 assist. Eric Brandt and Trey Hemphill scored 1 goal each. Pablo Souza had 2 assists. John Mitchell and Robert Graeme added assists. Ronnie Hreha recorded his 10th shutout on 3 saves.

15- FRANKLIN- Paul Egle scored 2 goals. Trey Hemphill and Hayes Sperry each had 1 goal and 1 assist. Michael O'Brien, Eric Brandt, and Robert Graeme each scored 1 goal. John Mitchell had 2 assists. Pablo Souza, Robert May, Thomas Covington, and Matt Willett added assists. Ronnie Hreha eecorded his 11th shutout on 1 save. Steven Corley had 1 save. 

16- ST STEPHENS- John Mitchell had 3 assists. Paul Egle scored 1 goal and had 1 assist. Robert May, Trey Hemphill, Nathan Canniff-Kuhn, and John Dellamea scored goals. Robert Graeme had 1 assist. Ronnie Hreha recorded his 12th shutout on 11 saves. Hayes Sperry had 3 saves.

17- NORTH BUNCOMBE- Robert May scored 1 goal and had 1 assist. Paul Egle, Fabian Ramirez, and Eric Brandt scored goals. John Mitchell, Pablo Souza, and Robert Graeme added assists. Ronnie Hreha recorded his 13th shutout on 2 saves. Steven Corley had 1 save.

18- ASHEVILLE- The Rams lost a heartbreaker to the Cougars in OT. Ronnie Hreha played great in goal making 12 saves. The entire team played hard, but just couldn't find the back of the net. 

19- ENKA- TCR won big on Senior Night, beating Enka 8-0. All 11 seniors played great. Fabian Ramirez scored 3 goals. John Mitchell and Robert May had 2 assists each. Pablo Souza had 1 goal and 1 assist. Patrick Brooks scored 1 goal. Ronnie Hreha had the shutout on 1 save. Matt Willett had his own cheering section and excited the crowd with several near misses. Paul Egle scored 2 goals and Trey Hemphill added 1 goal. Robert Graeme had 2 assists and Michael O'Brien had 1 assist. Hayes Sperry had 1 save.

20- FORESTVIEW- Robert May, Robert Graeme, adn Paul Egle scored goals. John Mitchell, Pablo Souza, and Ronnie Hreha had assists. Ronnie Hreha made 8 saves and nearer saved a PK. The team shot out to a 3-0 lead and then held on against a tough Forestview squad.

21- ERWIN- Paul Egle and Trey Hemphill scored 2 goals each. Patrick Brooks added 3 assists. Fabian Ramirez had 2 assists. John Mitchell and Robert May each had 1 goal and 1 assist. Eric Brandt, Griffin Lennox, and Harry Sedelbauer all scored 1 goal. Michael O'Brien had an assist. Ronnie Hreha had 2 saves for the shutout. Hayes Sperry made 4 saves. 

22- TUSCOLA- Paul Egle had 2 goals and had 2 assists. Robert May, Trey Hemphill, and Fabian Ramirez. Pablo Souza and Michael O'Brien added assists. Ronnie Hreha made 3 saves and Hayes Sperry made 4 saves. TCR finishes MAC play as Co-Champions with an 11-1-0 record. 

23- WATAUGA- John Mitchell had 2 goals and 2 assists. Trey Hemphill scored 2 goals. Robert May and Eric Brandt scored 1 goal and had 1 assist each. Fabian Ramirez scored 1 goal. Paul Egle and Robert Graeme added assists. Ronnie Hreha had 4 saves and Hayes Sperry had 1 save. TCR finishes the Regular Season 22-1-0.

24- BURNS- Michael O'Brien and Trey Hemphill scored 2 goals each. John Mitchell, Fabian Ramirez, and Paul Egle had 1 goal and 1 assist. Robert May and Robert Graeme added goals. Pablo Souza and Adam Stashick had 2 assists each. Hagen Johnston and Jackson Fischer had assists. Ronnie Hreha recorded his 16th shutout on 3 saves. Hayes Sperry had 2 saves.

25- FORESTVIEW- TCR's season came to an end with a 2-1 loss. John Mitchell scored the lone goal. Ronnie Hreha made 10 saves.
