2004 SEASON
The 2004 Season got off to a great start at the Watauga Jamboree on Aug 7th. TCR beat Vance 1-0, tied Watauga 0-0, and lost to Hickory 1-2. The Rams have added several new faces to the 2 time defending 3A State Champions and have high expectations for the season. August 14th the Rams traveled to Hickory for another preseason jamboree,and played well. The Rams beat Piedmont and tied both South Point and AC Reynolds.TCR opened the season with a 6-1 victory over Forsyth Country Day. TCR beat East Burke 2-1.TCR beat cross-town rival AC Reynolds 3-0.The Rams tied nationally ranked Charlotte Latin 1-1 and beat 4A powerhouse New Hanover 3-2 to win the Mellow Mushroom Tourney. Mitch Synder was MVP of the Tournament for his marking of 2 of the best forwards in the state. Also named to the All-Tournament Team were: Caleb Alexander, Patrick Browne, Rod Hubbard, and Kervin Dieudonne. TCR beat Enka 2-0 to open MAC play, and lost to MAC rival Asheville 1-2. TCR lost 0-3 to Broughton. TCR beat East Henderson 3-0 and beat Tuscola 2-0.TCR beat Erwin 7-0 and Smoky Mtn 4-0. TCR goes on the road next week for 3 games, TCR won 10-1 at Franklin, 6-0 at North Buncombe, and 5-2 at #1 Ranked Hickory on Saturday. TCR beat Enka 3-1 and tied Asheville 1-1. TCR beat North Buncombe 2-0 and East Henderson 5-0. TCR tied Tuscola 2-2, beat Erwin 8-0, and beat 4A powerhouse Watauga 1-0 in overtime. TCR beat Smoky Mountain 4-1 and Franklin 5-0 on Senior Night. TCR received a First round bye and beat Fred T. Foard 4-0 in a second round 3A State Playoff game.TCR beat Ashbrook 2-0 in the third round. TCR lost to Asheville 0-1 in OT in a fourth round game. TCR finishes the year 21-3-3. Great Year TCR !!!

2 Rams Sign to play in College
TCR will have 2 more players in the college ranks in the fall of 2005. Caleb Alexander has signed with UNC-Asheville and Patrick Browne has signed with Mars Hill. Good Luck to both these fine young men and we follow your careers in college.

1-FORSYTH COUNTRY DAY- Caleb Alexander had 2 goals and 2 assists.

2-EAST BURKE- Mitch Snyder had an assist and played well on defense.

3-AC REYNOLDS- Patrick Browne recorded the shutout with 5 saves.

4-CHARLOTTE LATIN- Kervin Dieudonne scored the only Ram goal in regulation.

5-NEW HANOVER- Henry Carballo had a goal and an assist and also drew the pk that put TCR up 2-1.

6-ENKA- Patrick Browne got the shutout with 9 saves.

7-ASHEVILLE- Kevin Jackson played well at sweeper, organizing the defense against a very explosive Asheville team.

8-BROUGHTON- Andrew Pickens played calmly and gave TCR their best scoring chances on freekicks.

9-EAST HENDERSON- Robert Franklin had a great workrate all game.

10-TUSCOLA- Caleb Alexander scored 2 goals.

11-ERWIN- Caleb Alexander scored 3 goals.

12-SMOKY MOUNTAIN- Rod Hubbard scored 1 goal and created several scoring chances.

13-FRANKLIN- Corbin Jennings scored 1 goal and had 2 assists.

14-NORTH BUNCOMBE-Henry Carballo had 2 goals.

15-HICKORY- Caleb Alexander had 3 goals.

16-ENKA- Rod Hubbard scored 2 goals.

17-ASHEVILLE- Patrick Browne had 11 saves.

18-NORTH BUNCOMBE- Mitch Synder had an outstanding game at marking back.
