2009 Season
TCR kicked off the 2009 Season hosting the Mountain Jamboree on Saturday August 8th. TCR won all three 45 min scrimmages beating Tuscola 4-0, St. Stephens 4-1, and Newton-Conover 5-1. The Rams traveled to the Henry River Soccer complex on Saturday August 15th. TCR lost to Lake Norman 2-1 and Hickory 2-0 before tying Forestview 2-2. The Rams opened the regular season with a 3-0 win over Swansboro and a 3-3 tie against New Hanover at the Brittany Showcase in Wilson. TCR beat Hendersonville 5-1. The Rams beat former MAC conference rival Tuscola 2-1, Lake Norman 4-3, and Ronald Reagan 3-1. TCR beat Fred T Foard 4-0, lost Charlotte Catholic 1-5, and beat Mount Tabor 4-1. TCR opened Mountain Athletic play with a 4-0 win over McDowell. TCR beat Cardinal Gibbons 2-1. TCR defeated North Buncombe 5-0 and Erwin 8-0. TCR beat Asheville 5-1 and AC Reynolds 3-2. TCR beat Enka 5-1 and McDowell 9-0. TCR beat North Buncombe 4-1 on Senior Night. The games with Polk County on Thursday have been cancelled. TCR beat Erwin 9-0 and Asheville 4-1. TCR beat AC Reynolds 4-2 on ABYSA Youth Night. The Rams beat Enka 1-0 in for the final regular season game. TCR finished the regular season 20-1-1 and the MAC 4A Conference Champs. The JV's finished their season 18-1-0. TCR won in the First Round of the 4A State playoffs against Mallard Creek 1-0 in Overtime. TCR beat Garinger 7-1 in the Second Round. TCR beat North Mecklenburg 2-0 in The Third Round. TCR beat AC Reynolds 3-2 in sudden death OT in the Fourth Round. TCR lost to Page 0-2 in the 4A State Semi-Finals.
