Profile: 2008 RHAM grad was versatile and vaulable performer for the Sachems during 2008 season (14-8), earning Northwest Conference first-team honors, as well as being tabbed as RHAM's Best Defensive Player as voted by teammates ... Saw time at second base, outfield and on the mound before settling in as regular third baseman and No. 2 hitter ... Had four hits in two Class L state tournament games, including homer and four RBI in 7-3 first-round victory over Lyman Hall-Wallingford ... Went 2-2 in five mound appearances (combined Connecticut and Florida), pitching to a 4.67 ERA and fanning 23 in 24 innings ... Went 2-2 with 3.06 ERA as a member of Tri-County Senior Legion in 2007 ... Had wins vs. Legion state tournament semifinalist Guilford (hitless through four) and over Berlin in the season opener ... Also pitched two innings in 4-1 loss to state and New England regional champion Branford ... During successful 2007 Fall Legion in which T-C advanced to the playoff semifinals, led all pitchers in ERA (0.50) and batting average against (.125) and was second on the team with 10.5 strikeouts-per-7 IP in going 2-0 in 14 IP … Also saw time at short and hit .333 with .404 OBP … As junior at RHAM, saw action at pitcher and in the outfield for the Sachems in 2007 ... Was tabbed to start season-opener start on the mound against eventual state runner-up Waterford ... Had game-winning single in top of the 11th in NWC victory over Middletown ... Opponents hit just .134 against him during 2006 Tri-County Fall Legion wood-bat season, which was second on a team that included three other members of the 2007 rotation ... Long-time member of Tri-County All-Star and Jaycee-Courant teams who pitched no-hitter during 15-year-old district play in 2006 ... Outfielder/pitcher on Tri-County team that finished runner-up in 2006 Ahern-Whalen Tournament ... Also former basketball letterwinner at RHAM … Plans on attending Eastern Connecticut State University in the fall … From Hebron.
