Since 1954, the United States Pony Club has been educating children and young adults who share a love or horses. But, Ponly Club extends far beyond teaching riding. Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented throughout 30 countries! The United States has over 600 individual Clubs spread throughout 48 states and the Virgin Islands, with more than 12,000 members. It is not necessary for a child to own a horse or pony, but they must have access to one when required. Programs are offered in dressage, eventing, show jumping, mounted games, tetrathlon, quiz, vaulting, foxhunting, and polocrosse. During "dismounted" meetings members learn about feeding, shoeing, veterinary care, and other areas of horse management. Under adult supervision, the more experienced Pony Club members instruct and assist younger members
Pony Club teaches horsemanship and life-long leadership skills. It provides opportunities for members to learn valuable skills which help them develop into capable adults. Regional rallies, National Championships, clinics, camps, leadership training and special programs such as International Exchanges and the National Youth Congress are just some of the ways in which Pony Clubbers, play, learn, teach, compete, and set and accomplish goals.
Pony Clubbers understand the value of teamwork and sportsmanship and they develop friendships which last a lifetime. Perhaps most importantly, they develop self-confidence to help them excel not only in Pony Club, but in life.
All of this is made possible by thousands of volunteers and the generosity of our donors and corporate sponsors. To find out how you can part of this, please contact:

"As a member of the United States Pony Club, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship.
I shall complete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport loses its cause for being.
I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner."
