New Britian Rock Cats SLL Family Night Saturday June 2nd

Come Join us on Saturday night June 2nd for a night of fun and excitement at New Britain Stadium to see the New Britian Rock Cats.  Tickets are only $5.50 each.  SLL players, family, and friends are all welcome.  A portion of each ticket sold benefits the Suffield Little League.

Home Run Derby - June 8
The SLL Home Run Derby sponsored by the Boccasile family will be held Friday evening June 8th. It's not too late to participate! If you didn't sign up at registration, you can still sign up at the event for $6/player; however, you will not receive an event t-shirt. Please arrive at the field by 5:45 to register. New this year, we will also have a skills competition where players will compete in running and throwing. We are looking for volunteers to help with the event (judging, shagging balls, setup/cleanup, etc.) - if you are interested, please contact us.

Summer Baseball 2012

Summer Baseball registration will open soon! The season will start the week of July 2nd (if able to field teams over the 4th holiday) or July 9th, and finish the week of August 6th with an optional end-of-season tournament held in Somers the weekend of August 10th-12th. Games will be played Monday through Thursday nights. We will form teams in AA (7, 8, 9) - 9U; AAA (8, 9, 10) - 10U; and Majors (10, 11, young 12's) - 12 U.

We are also considering forming teams for Transition (for graduating 12's on 50/70 field), Juniors (12's, 13's 14's) and Instructional (6's & 7's) ages. If you are interested in Transition, Juniors or Instructional, please let Summer Baseball Coordinator Paul LoVoi know as soon as possible by emailing Summer@SuffieldLittleLeague.com



No Dogs, No Cats... that means everybody...

Please remember to leave your PETS at home when coming to Suffield Little League.  Pets are not allowed anywhere inside the Christian Field Complex.  Thank you for your understanding and kind cooperation. This is for the safety of others and is part of Suffield Little League's SAFETY CODE.

Please leave your pets at home.

Those found violating this policy will be asked to bring their pets home or placed in their car.

Summer Baseball Camp

There will be a summer baseball camp June 25 - 29th and July 9th - 13th at Christian Field for players aged 6 - 12.   The camp will be run by Bryan Brissette, head baseball coach at Suffield Academy.

Volunteer Application for Coaches & Volunteers



All Coaches must fill out, sign, and submit the Little League Volunteer Application and Volunteer Code of Conduct agreement.

Proof of Residency Requirements

At any time during the season, parents/legal guardians for all players must present 3 proofs or residency dated prior to February 1, 2012 if requested by the league.  Acceptable proofs of residency include such items as a driver's license, auto registration, bank statement, insurance bill, mortgage statement, or utility bill.  Note that 3 utility bills will count as only one proof. 

 

Seeking League Volunteers & Umpires for the Spring 2012 Season 

Little league is an ALL volunteer organization.  We are always in need of parents/guardians willing to help our league.  If you are interested in helping the league for the upcoming year or would like to apply to manage/coach a team or umpire, please contact the league president or umpire coordinator.

SLL Cost Per Player

 For those who wonder about where the entry fee goes, see the chart below.
It cost about $145 per player to run the league last year.    We cover those costs with a combination of entry fees, team and outfield sign sponsors, and fund raising.
