Welcome to the homepage for the Thunder Strikers '95 Girls.   We are a WAGS division 2, U-15 girls travel soccer team with families from Laurel, Columbia, and surrounding areas.   By combining talented girls from multiple teams we have created an "all-star" team capable of competing with the top teams in the State.

Coach's Resume
Kevin Axenfeld's coaching career spans over a decade of coaching at the youth level.   He holds a USSF "D" license and a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma. Having coached at Thunder Soccer Club (TSC), Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC), and Laurel Soccer Club, Kevin has coached teams to the highest levels.   He has guided 3 teams to WAGS division 1 championships, Maryland State Cup championships, and USYSA Region 1 championship.   Several of his players have made the Maryland, Region I and National ODP teams.

Team Trainer
To supplement our coaching staff, Ryan Parisi runs one practice per week.  Ryan is a director for Coerver Coaching of Maryland, played 4 years at Bently College in Boston, and is the assistant coach at Serverna Park High School.  Ryan holds a US Soccer Federation National "C" License and a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

About Our Club
The Thunder Soccer Club, located in Howard County Maryland, was founded with one team in 1991 and has now grown to approximately 45 teams.   The Club is purely a travel soccer club with youth teams in the U-8 thru U-23 age groups plus adult teams.   By putting players first, the Club establishes and maintains a soccer environment that provides young people the opportunity for growth through competition and the continuous education and improvement of players and coaches.   For more information visit the Thunder Club website.
