Parents Elected to Storm Executive
Three Storm 98A parents were elected at last week's Storm AGM to serve on the Executive Board for the upcoming season:
  • Roger Manhao - Storm President
  • Rob Warburton - Storm Vice-President
  • Lori-Anne Mack - Storm Secretary

Storm 98A - New Head Coach Named
The Storm Executive is pleased to announce Roger Boily as the new Head Coach of Storm 98A. Rob Warburton and Sue Pegios will also be back as Assistant Coaches.
Coach Boily has an lengthy history of coaching that goes back 40 years in a variety of sports that include; baseball, softball and soccer with the last two decades primarily with softball.

A founding member of the North Delta Heat organization, Roger coached in North Delta from 1994-2008 when he moved to the White Rock organization.

In his time with both of these organizations, his teams have won three provincial championships and finished in the top three six other times on route to two Western Canada games and seven National Championship appearances.

 

Coach Boily's abilities earned him selection to coach the BC Provincial team at both the Western Canada Games in 1999 and then the Canada Games in 2001.

Roger in addition to coaching has also been a lead instructor at the Seaquam Softball Academy for the past three years:

 

The 2009/2010 season was spent assisting Coach Mike Renney with the Simon Fraser University Softball Program.

 

Coach Renney says of Roger .... "He is one of the coaches in our community that has given back so much to the game and the athletes in his charge, while having considerable experience, he still brings the excitement and enthusiasm to learn whenever opportunities present themselves. I am looking forward to working with Roger and know the athletes will appreciate what his experience allows him to offer as well."
