First-time Player
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) about first-time players
Q: What uniform/equipment does a first-time player need?
A: Every player needs - a team shirt
- team shorts
- uniform socks
- regulation shin pads, and
- soccer cleats.
Q: Where do we get the uniform/equipment?
A: Every player should go to Reading Trophy at 660 Main Street in Reading to get their uniform(s). Tell them that you're playing Stoneham Town and/or Travel Soccer. They'll get you properly outfitted.
Q: I'm playing both Town and Travel soccer. Can I use the same uniform for both?
A: No. The Town and Travel uniforms (shirt, shorts, and socks) are different. If you are playing both programs, you should have both uniforms.
Q: When will I find out what team I'm on?
A: The coach for your team is supposed to contact you 1-2 weeks prior to the first game of the season (see the Calendar for the date). In addition, we plan to post the roster for the teams in the Stoneham Independent. If the first game is less than a week away and you still haven't heard, you can contact the League Commissioner (see the Board of Directors link) or contact us by email.

Adult Volunteer Registrations
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) about adult volunteer registration
Q: Where do I get the registration link?
A: Start the registration process as for a player. Choose the Program (Town/Travel) and the league that you wish to coach or assist. On the next page you will see the "Unassigned Coach Registration" link.
Q: What do I put in the required Maiden Name/Alias field if I'm (a guy/not married)?
A: Put "-none-".
Q: I don't have an email address, but it's required on the form. What do I do?
A: Put in a fake email address - none@none.com would do.
Q: I get to the end and it's asking for my credit card. I thought it didn't cost anything.
A: It doesn't cost anything. You should see the "$0" next to the "Unassigned Coach Registration" link. Unfortunately, the registration site isn't set up to not ask for payment. You should see the second payment option to pay with "Check by Mail". Choose that option to complete the registration. You need to send nothing afterwards.
Q: Can I sign up as a coach at the same time I register my son/daughter[s] to play?
A: No. Process yourself and your son/daughter[s] separately.
Q: If I plan to coach more than one team/program, do I have to register more than once?
A: No. Register only once.
Q: I never got my receipt via email. What happened?
A: The usual problem is an error in the email address. Send an email to stonehamsoccer@yahoo.com explaining the problem.
