2/17/04 At the President's Day Tournament (Feb 14th-16th), 12s Blue finished 1st in the Jefferson Division and 9th overall. There were 16 teams competing at the San Jose Convention Center and the 12s Blue were exemplary in their ETA and "sportswomanship".

4/11/04 With everything falling into place on March 27th, the 12s Blue team went 4-1 to finish 2nd in the Silver Division in the Power League #2. This moved them up to compete in the Gold Division for the Power League #3 on April 10th where they finished 9th. 

5/3/04 On Saturday May 1st, 12 Blue played at the Sacramento Convention Center and went 2-1 for the day. On Sunday May 2nd they played at Pacific Sports Center in Vallejo and went 2-3 for the day. Although this was a not a strong end to their season, they finished 11th overall in their debut appearance in Power League.  WE ARE VERY PROUD OF THE 12 BLUE TEAM. Now it's on to the special tournaments and Starlings National Championships.

5/17/04 The 12 White team have been practicing and playing hard all season. We have watched them grow as they have quietly progressed in their volleyball skill and development. It all seemed to come together as they finished 11th overall in the Area League Championships at Los Medanos on May 15th-16th. This earned them 2nd place in the Silver Division. Now they can say that they truly understand "Students 1st, Athletes 2nd, Winning will come along the way." CONGRATULATIONS 12 WHITE - WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!

5/31/04 The 12 White and 12 Blue teams have been combined to have a united front for the final tournaments of the season. They competed in the Bay View Classic tournament May 29th-30th with 15 other teams from all over California and Oregon. All of our Starlings showed true ETA and "sportswomanship" in their strong finish of 5th place overall. WAY TO GO 12S!!!

6/7/04 The 12s are continuing to let their ETA shine as they played in the Great America tournament this weekend and finished 9th out of 24 teams. Things are looking good for Nationals in San Diego. KEEP IT UP 12s!!!

6/23/04 THEY DID IT!!! The 12s took top honors at the Starlings National Tournament and brought home the gold medal, finishing 1st in the Gold Division. This has been a long climb for the 12s and truly reflects what commitment and hard work are all about. There were also several players named to the 12s All-Tournament Team: Khalia Gaddis Lena Sok Andie Olsen Andie also received a special award for sportsmanship and several of our players were winners in the Literary/Art Contest: Andie Olsen Mahnoosh Moghadam Adalie Villalobos WAY TO GO 12s! The future looks bright for Starlings Oakland!
