Starlings Volleyball Club-Oakland is a community-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We provide the equal opportunity for 9-18 year old girls from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to train and compete at USA Volleyball’s Junior Olympic level. We encourage teamwork, health, positive life skills, and academic achievement. We are looking forward to making this, OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY, our best year ever.

PHILOSOPHY - Starlings’ basic philosophy is “Students First, Athletes Second”. · Starlings’ goals are educational enhancement, personal development, and athletic enjoyment. Players, parents, and coaches are expected to support and reinforce our ETA (Effort, Teamwork & Attitude) values.

FEES & FUNDRAISING - Starlings provides the same full season volleyball training as other clubs, however our Club fees ($300-$600) are minimal. Therefore, participation in the Starlings fundraisers is a requirement for every player.
USA VolleyballUSA Volleyball is the national governing body for the sport of volleyball in the United States and is recognized by the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). Northern California Volleyball AssociationStarlings Oakland is a member of the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA), which serves Northern California and Nevada. All Bay Area tournaments we participate in are scheduled by or coordinated with the NCVA.
