REVOLUTION HISTORY

U16 Spring 2008 - Tournament Results:

THE VIRGINIAN 2008

The Revolution participated in 33rd annual soccer tournament. In the past four years of the Virginian, it had about 650 boys and girls teams from 9 to 19 years in age compete. These teams came from Germany, Canada, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia. 2008 SASA ST. PATRICK’S DAY TOURNAMENT

The Revolution participated in our club’s 14h annual St. Patrick’s Day Tournament on March 15-16, 2008. It is a very popular pre-season soccer tournament and has been for the past 13 years. The Stafford St. Patrick's Day Tournament regularly hosts 200 teams from Northern Virginia and beyond . . . 2008 CHESTERFIELD ICEBREAKER
The Revolution has been accepted to participate in Chesterfield United Soccer Club’s 15th annual Chesterfield Icebreaker Tournament on March 8-9, 2008, in Chesterfield, Virginia. CLICK HERE to visit the tournament website.

All games will be played at Cloverhill Athletic Complex (Field #7), 17701 Genito Road, Moseley, VA 23120.

3/7/08: Due to inclement weather and field conditions, all games in the Icebreaker tournament have been cancelled.

2008 TRIANGLE FUTBOL CLUB (TFC) FRIENDLIES - COLLEGE SHOWCASE III The Revolution participated in the 11th annual Triangle FC Friendlies on Feb 9-10, 2008, in Fayetteville, NC. The TFC Friendlies is a US Club Soccer sanctioned event. These friendlies are designed to provide participants with the highest level of competition without the pressures of results and standings. Last year’s event drew over 330 teams from 13 states including several Regional and State champions, and attracted over 120 college coaches from NCAA Divisions I, II and III. U16 Spring 2008 NCSL - Div 2 (Sit-Out):

As most of the Revolution players will be playing high school soccer, the team elected to sit-out for the NCSL spring 2008 season. The team will be participating in tournaments during this time.

U16 Fall 2007 NCSL - Div 2:

The Revolution finished the fall 2007 season of NCSL Division 2 with a 4-5-0 record, finishing in 7th place. The team is more or less a first year team as there were so many new players, and new coaches. Coach Andrew Mitchell and his dad, Scott, served as our coaches for the fall 2007 season. The boys finished the season with three consecutive wins, enabling the team to continue to play in D2 when they return to NCSL as a U17 team in the fall of 2008.

U16 2007-08 VYSA State Cup:

Round of 32 - The Revolution's first round in the 2007-08 VYSA State Cup was against the Great Falls Crew who went on to win the cup. The Crew defeated us 2:0 in a hard faught game.
