On Team Concepts
There is no "I" in "team".
If you feel you are the best, or one of the best players on the team, then you must feel extra responsibility for making the team and each other team member better.
A championship team, is more than a collection of five good individual players. It requires at least eight or nine teammates, who work hard together, who respect, help and encourage each other, who have a common goal, mindset and spirit, and yet who all realize their individual roles and importance to the team.
It's not who starts the game; it's who can finish it.
Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Timo Cruz (from the Movie Coach Carter)
Success
Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.
John R. Wooden (Former UCLA Coaching Great)

A foul is when somebody takes advantage of you and pulls you down.

Who wins shows that they have given it their all and succeeded.
The handshake at the end shows the "REAL" winner and loser.
Opportunity
You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
Life
If all I'm remembered for is being a good basketball player, then I've done a bad job with the rest of my life.
Isiah Thomas (Basketball Great)
Price of Success
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
Vince Lombardi (Coaching Great)
