The total seasonal expense for an individual player is dependent upon the team and age division in which they are playing. Costs will vary depending upon the amount and types of tournaments entered; the amount of traveling; and participation in fundraisers (optional). Estimated expenses are outlined below.
$595/player Base Club fees cover the following:
*Player, coach, chaperone, team rep USAV membership, background screens and required IMPACT certification.
*Coach monthly/seasonal fees, if applicable. Several coaches are 100% volunteers.
*Administrative cost (postage, paper, supplies, copies, website, team caller, misc. etc.)
*Equipment (volleyballs, ball carts, first aid kits & supplies, ball bags, pumps, coach equipment/apparel, etc.)
*Facilities-covers the estimated cost of gym rental for team practices through Regional weekend 2010. (Any team that continues practice past the Regional Tournament in May 2010 or practices at a site other than what is part of the club schedule may incur additional practice fee costs.) NEW THIS SEASON! Our home practice facility is the St. Peters Rec-Plex. This will eliminate many practice cancellations due to school gyms not being available during holiday's, inclement weather, last minute school use, etc. It also provides our teams the opportunity to practice using quality nets at official heights which is beneficial for players allowing them to practice as they will play.
Note: Base club fee is calculated on 9 players per team. Fee may be higher/lower if greater/less than 9 players are on team.
Items NOT covered by the base club fee:
Uniforms - required pieces are 2 Kaepa jerseys, 2 pair of Kaepa shorts, 1 pair of Kaepa socks, and 1 pair of Kaepa kneepads. Total cost will vary on the quantity of items ordered. Minimum cost - $125.00 (girls), $67 (boys)
Tournament Fees - Since each team’s schedule is unique, tournament entry fees will be divided equally among participants on each team. Players will be billed once schedule is final and fee is due upon receipt.
Athletic Enhancement (optional): Players will have the opportunity for Athletic Enhancement. This season, we have our very own AE Coordinator on staff, Coach Dan Walters. The cost will be $60.00 for 8 sessions. The focus will be on correct jumping mechanics, upper body/lower body/core strengthening, speed & agility. Focusing on these aspects also ties into injury prevention.
Travel costs/transportation: If attending a tournament requiring overnight travel, lodging costs for players and family are not included in club fees.
Coach Travel fees: Each team is responsible for coaches out of town tournament travel. Each team is responsible for collecting any additional money for coach travel expenses prior to departure date for each tournament. Coaches travel fees include but are not limited to airfare, ground transportation, fuel, parking fees, car rental, lodging costs, and meal per diem.
The higher the skill level, the higher the travel costs, since some teams travel longer distances and more frequently.
Teams may voluntarily participate in fundraising activities that can substantially lower the player's total expenses for the season. Fundraiser's are optional and determined/maintained by each individual team.
Failure to pay money due by due date will result in player suspension from practices and tournament play. No uniform will be distributed to any player whose payment is delinquent. Please contact Club Director if unusual circumstances arise. Any returned check will result in a $30.00 fee plus all other bank fees. Once registrations are completed, no refund requests will be honored. This is because we pay most expenses out in advance. If a player is released from a team or quits for any reason, no refunds will be honored. Again, this is because we pay most expenses out in advance.
