" Springfield Youth Soccer Camp "
Dates: August 3-7, 2009
Location: Halderman Field, Springfield PA
Times: 9am-12pm
In partnership with YSC, Springfield soccer camp is designed to teach all ability levels. We will help the beginner learn the basic skills of soccer. We will improve every players skill development as well as teach the advanced player stragegies, position play and advanced skills and tactics. Each camper will be grouped by both age and ability. There will be an emphasis on individual skill development to give each camper the confidence they need to play. The camp will be run by top level coaches who know how to make soccer fun.
The camp is designed for the new soccer player who is looking to have fun and learn some new tricks of the game. YSC will sponsor the week long camp which will be held right here at Springfield's Halderman field August 3rd through 7th from 9am - noon. Cost is $165 per camper and includes a Nike t-shirt.
The mission of the Springfield soccer camp is simply to give young players ages 7-13 an inside look at how youth soccer players get trained in Europe. With staff comprised of coaches from all levels each and every camper will be able to showcase their skills and learn something new every day. During the week long camp, the campers will play lots of small sided games that are match related. "The game is the best teacher"

DIRECTOR DAVE MACWILLIAMS
Coach MacWilliams brings an extensive background in international, professional, and youth soccer to Pro Soccer Academy. Dave was a member of the 1980 US Olympic Team before turning pro. He played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies,Philadelphia Fury of the NASL,Philadelphia Fever, Baltimore Blast, and Chicago Sting of the MISL. As a professional coach, Dave guided the Penn-Jersey Spirit, the Baltimore Spirit, and the Philadelphia KIXX. Coach MacWilliams was inducted into the Philadelphia Soccer Hall of Fame in 1998. He was awarded the 2001 EPYSA Male Soccer Coach of the Year, won the National Championship ODP 2003 & 2005, and was named Coach of the Year for Temple University Men's Soccer for the 2004 to 2008 seasons.
