Spring Roller Hockey: Welcome
This is the home page for the Spring Roller Hockey Program. We are based in Middletown, NJ. This program began in 1997 and is focused on teaching and developing skating and hockey skills.
We are in our 16th season that runs from mid March through mid June. This year our program will be offered for ages 12 and under. Our program is conduted on weeknights at McMahon park (off Thompson Ave & route 36).

Weather forecast has almost a 100% chance of rain over our area by 6:00pm today. Therefore we are making a decision to cancel our program tonight, and spare everyone the effort of getting dresses and driven to the rink only to turn around and go home. Have a good Holiday weekend and we will see you all next week.
Sunday, May 13
We will continue to follow the schedule for the Junior Games and make up the lost games at the end. Tomorrow (looks like rain in the forecast) will be games #5 & #6 which are earmarked on the schedule for 5/14/12

Unfortunately the ground in Middletown is still wet, it is still drizzling intermittantly, the skies are very threatening and the forecast is for continuing showers through the night and so rather than begin play and not be able to finish we will cancel for tonight and hope for better weather on Monday.
Tuesday, May 1
Hockey in Middletown is sponsoring our annual Roller Hockey Tournament at Normandy Park. Each team will participate in 4-5 short games during the days event. The cost is $35 per player. There will be food and refreshments, BBQ hamburgers, porkroll egg & bacon sandwiches, hot dogs, sausage/peppers, etc available day long. It's a fun day and the proceeds go to paying for the High School ice hockey program in Middletown.

The Peewee games are cancelled tonight due to rain. We can now stay home and watch the Rangers or Devils or both! See you Tuesday.

Due to a wet rink, inclement weather, and forecast rain, the Junior program is cancelled tonight. See you on Wednesday.

The Junior division has been split into two groups (see groups in the TEAM tab section of this website). Times and dates are shown on the CALENDAR tab or SCHEDULE tab.

We am pleased to announce that the Spring Roller Hockey program will once again be offered this year. Our Junior Division (ages 9 and under) will retain the same staff (Coach Sal & Co.) and program format as in prior years.
Additionally, we will be offering a Peewee Division (ages 12 and under) this year. Both programs will be conducted at McMahon Park.
We will be accepting registrations for any player interested in participating. Please email us (SpringHockey@comcast.net) and we will place you on the registration list. The cost will remain the same ($100). The season will begin around April 1 (weather permitting).
We are also in need of volunteer coaches, referees, scorekeepers, etc.

The Junior Program (ages 9 and under *) will begin on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 6:00pm. All skaters should be dressed, on the rink, and ready to skate at 6:00pm SHARP!
Rain postponements will be posted on this website and the "MiddletownHockey" facebook page. If postponed, we will meet at the next scheduled time/date.You can always check the "CALENDAR" tab of this website for schedule.
* A players age is determined by his birth year.The Junior Division (Ages 9 and under) are birth years 2003 and later. ThePeewee Division (ages 12 and under) are birth years 2002, 2001, & 2000.
