Why Consider Playing for The Sparks?

 

·        There are more ChesMont League High School Players featured on Sparks teams than any other AAU Club in the Middle Atlantic Region

·        In 2007 42 different schools were represented on Sparks Teams- we strive to construct a balanced squad of talented players to provide the areas top players with a great forum to play 

·        In each year of 2007, 2006 and 2005 Three (3) Sparks Teams Qualified for Nationals at the Middle Atlantic Qualifiers and competed against some of the best players in the country at the AAU National Championships

·        Recent Middle Atlantic Champions :

o       2006- 15U (1990 age group) – 5^th Place Finish at Nationals

o       2005- 11U (1993 age group)- 9^th Place Finish at Nationals

o       At the 2007 National Championships the Sparks 15U Team finished as the National Runner-up. See story for details

·        Sparks Coaches include many Former College Players who will teach your daughter the contemporary skills necessary to play today’s game at a high level.

10U- Finished (3-2) 4^th in Middle Atlantic Qualifier

11U- Finished 2nd Overall in Middle Atlantic Qualifiers

12U- Finished (2-2) in Middle Atlantic Qualifiers

13U- Finished 2nd Overall in Middle Atlantic Qualifiers- 18^th Place Finish at  

         AAUNational Championships- 4^th Straight National Appearance for 13U Age  

         Group

14U- Finished (1-3) in Middle Atlantic Qualifier

15U- Finished 2^nd Overall in Middle Atlantic Qualifiers; Finished 2nd at National  

         Championships- 4^th Straight National Appearance for 15U Age Group

16U- Finished 12^th in Middle Atlantic “A” Qualifiers

 

 

Sparks 3^nd Annual “Ignite Your Game” Tournament - Scheduled for April 12-13, 2008…Teams encouraged to register early…call or email for information

 

 

Sparks Girls Basketball is now excepting applications for 2008 Coaching Positions. College Players must clear their participation with their Coach prior to contacting Sparks. Interested candidates should email their interest and basketball backgrounds to sparksaaubball@aol.com.
