Parents,

As a league we have found an outlet for our old equipment that we plan to discard, without filling up landfills.  We have a volunteer who transports it to Baltimore and leaves it with the Orioles Advocates.  They in turn make minor repairs, straps, clips, etc and send it off to developing nations.  See the attached letter if you would like more information.  They are always willing to accept used equipment, helmets, bats, shoes, gloves, etc.  If you wish to clean out the garage of years of equipment, contact the league and we will try and coordinate collection.  http://www.eteamz.com/SouthernLehighLittleLeague/files/SKMBT_C35120823121900.pdf

NEWS FROM THE UST PARK

We have been the fortunate beneficiaries of a field improvement.  The township is in the process of making the smaller field capable of playing 50/70' distance as well as 46/60'.  Although the schedule is not yet established and the township handles when it can be used based on spring precipitation we plan to maximize it's use due to all of the great family amenities in the park.
