The new location is at the Georgia Academy School of Softball.  The Academy is located at 251 Tiger Way in Peachtree City (behind the Avenue shopping center).  Directions to the new facility are in the "Handouts" sections of this website.  

ABOUT US

The Southern Aces School of Fast Pitch was established in 1996 as an option for aspiring young fast pitch players to receive quality instruction in pitching, hitting, speed/agility training, and defensive skills. Southern Aces also assists in college placement, coaches clinics, and group skills clinics.

Southern Aces is operated on a philosophy of assisting in the development of players who are committed to achieving success, by providing training in success proven techniques from a staff of quality instructors. During the past ten years more than 100 players who have attended Southern Aces have gone on to play at the collegiate level.

ERNIE YARBROUGH, Director, has been involved in fast pitch softball for 40 years as a player, coach, and administrator.  Coach Ernie has played on men's teams that have played in numerous ASA, NSA and ISC championships.  He currently is the player/manager of a men's travel team out of Spartanburg, SC., and pitches for a team out of Memphis, TN that has won multiple ASA Masters National Championships. He has been coaching for 25+ years at the travel, high school, college, and professional levels and travels throughout the country conducting players' skills camps and coaches' clinics.  Many of his former students have earned GACA Pitcher or Player of the Year honors during the past 12 years, and more than 100 of his students have advanced to the college level. Coach Ernie was recently appointed as "Coaches Liaison" for the Georgia State ASA.

NATIONAL SIGNING CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING 2009 SENIORS

PEPPER GAY has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Illinois.  Pepper is a senior at St. Pius X H.S. and plays travel ball for the Atlanta Vipers - Gold (Vallery).

KAYLA VALLERY has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Youngstown State University (Ohio).  Kayla is a senior at Newnan H.S. and plays travel ball for the Atlanta Vipers - Gold (Vallery).

NICOLE MONTESSANTI has signed a letter of intent to attend Georgia Perimeter College.  Nicole is a senior at Whitewater H.S. and plays travel ball for the Georgia Blitz - Gold. 

ARIEL SHAW has signed a letter of intent to attend Valdosta State University.  Ariel is a senior at McIntosh H.S. and plays travel ball for the Atlanta Vipers 18U team.
